[NITPICK]“Real American Heroes” is the original.[/NITPICK]
That shampoo with the centaur in the shower. Was it Old Spice? Amuses me every time.
“Was it because I’m two things, and it’s two things?! That’s two-things-ism!”
It was a Ford commercial on the radio here. The voice of the GPS unit argued with the driver about going to Elm Street
I always enjoy watching Chuck Storm walk into that sign in the “know where you stand” or whatever it is commercial.
I like that commercial where that girl is going to college, even though she has her pyjamas on!! Seeing that commercial always brightens up my day. I doubt she’s actually a working actress, but I wonder who she is…
Is that the one with the little girl asking her dad for the car keys and the dad asking her all the questions about where she’ll be and who with, then as she’s walking out the door she’s suddenly a teenager? Yeah, I like the end of that one too, with the little five-year-old boy heading out the door.
“Where are you going?”
“Work.”
Now, there’s an ad for a new Toyota Azuza (?) that says you’re more than one thing, and so should your car. I always point at the screen and yell, “That’s two-things-ism!”
I suppose you mean the girl on the bench and the guy with a backpack. Every shot has a row of progressively taller things, for their “more bars” slogan.
An earlier, similar one has an uber-cute little girl sneaking a plush monkey into Daddy’s briefcase. Daddy sends pix of the monkey everywhere he goes, the last being a pic of his own house when he gets home. Again, every shot has a row of more bars. Where’d they get that little girl? She’s gonna be a big star someday!
I love the one for cell phone service where the dad has three daughters and he’s horrified that the oldest has been talking about his internet dating and that the middle one asks if she shouldn’t have told her friend’s grandma that he was available and the little (goofy) one tells him the grandma thinks he’s super delicious.
God forgive me, but I actually kind of enjoy the Comcast ads!
True. They changed the name of the campaign to “Real Men of Genius” after 9/11.
The Honda Insight Beaches ad is very well done. I like the editing.
The girl is stunning, but something about the way she hangs around moping romantically for the guy just irritates me. And how does he know to track her down in the park at the end? Yes, I’ve thought about this commercial too much, possibly because it’s the second one in the space of a year or so to use the same drippy song.
,
I love that one! ‘Superdelicious’ still makes me laugh, even though I’ve seen it a zillion times.
I think the gal in the “no butt dialing” commercial for T-Mobile is cute and she has a cute voice.
This one has been my favorite for a couple of years running.
I will never, ever get tired of Telus’ animal ads. They are freaking hilarious! They now have ad campaigns in theatres where at the end, the animal tells you to turn your cellphone off.
EDS. In a sense, this is what we do. Not exactly a household name… They more or less invented IT outsourcing 40 years ago.
Hey, that’s that chick from “Popular”-- I wondered if she was ever getting any more work…
I want those sweeties! Greatest commercial ever! It wouldn’t play well in America though I’m afraid.
A friend of mine points something out every time that commercial comes on: the last pic he sends her is at the wrong angle from where he’s standing. It’s too close, or something.
