The new AT&T Rollover Minutes commercial. That mother-son stare down gets me every time.
And I think her husband is cute. He’s also in a McDonalds commercial where he’s super decisive or something.
Speaking of cute guys in commercials, there’s a cute guy in one of the recent Progressive Insurance commercials (with Flo) who’s also in an ad for Lowe’s or something, who was in the ad a couple years ago were he was driving down the road and animals kept jumping into his car and singing.
I mute commercials as soon as the break starts. I unmute the commercials for the “go meat!” people to say their one important line.
I also like the Lectric Shave commercial. Lectric Shave!
Also also, the Guinness commercials that are no longer being run, with the little cartoony guys who say “Brilliant!” I used to watch them on YouTube all the time, but I think they got taken down recently.
These are the ones that come to mind immediately.
Oh! And Flo never ceases to bring a smile to my face.
I love both of these. It doesn’t make me want to drink Heineken, but I suppose it does dispose me favourably toward the company.
Any of the new GM ads with Howie Long…after years of terrible marketing GM finally gets it right…right when they die. Sigh…
I can’t remember the Ford commercial, but it was when they introduced their Explorer Hybrid, and they had a dad and daughter driving and talking about what it was like to have a hybrid…boy that was a well written commercial, one of the best I’ve seen actually…
Also, the girl in her pajamas for that school commercial…HOT!
This is probably weird, since I hate creepy-crawly bugs, but this particular Orkin “Pizza Delivery” commercial. There’s just something in the line delivery of the termite…
The girl with the pink slippers and super short pajama-ish shorts and amazingly perfect legs?
Yes! I can never take my eyes off her legs in those commercials. drools
Linky? Or at least a little more information?
That whole line of commercials is brilliant.
There’s one running now for Verizon that’s set in an ice cream shop. The commercial itself is a bit corny, but two things crack me up every time: the close-up shot of the little ice cream cup, and the lady’s expression when her husband starts pouring sprinkles on the ice cream.
The butt-dialing commercial is good enough that I’ll stop to watch it if I’m channel surfing.
I love the girl on the Laughing Cow portable cheese commercial; she’s perky without being annoying. “We’re walking. We’re peeling. We’re…smiling!” I love the part where she holds her hand up to high five that executive guy who completely ignores her. “Up top sir!..awesome.”
I always stop flipping channels if I see any of the Dyson commercials. Mr. Dyson has the most soothing voice. I want him to come to my house and read me a bedtime story.
McDonalds Filet O’Fish commercial. Me likey.
There are two commercials that stand out to me due to their art work. There’s a motor oil commercial, maybe Valvoline I don’t know, with those gorgeous golden running horses, just beautiful. And this sounds stupid I know but the detail on the Geico gekko is amazing, his contours, the reflections and distortions on his glasses, shadows, everything. I really admire the skill of their artists. It’s not even the whole spot but just certain scenes. I could swear on one I saw a muscle move under his skin in his neck.
I used to laugh at the investor baby but I’m over it now.
For some reason Sonic commercials never seem to get old.
Dancing sells everything from credit cards to phones
“I’m tired of subsidizing your golf game Shank-o-potomus.”
The new PC/ Mac commercial.
Okay, PC may freeze sometimes, but he built a freaking time machine. That works!
(Being naturally pudgy and nearsighted, and prone to wearing brown tweed, I am biased towards PC from the start.)
I think the ad is for Lowe’s flooring. There’s a couple sitting on the couch, and you hear a noise in the background. The man says “No skateboarding in the house.” Then a bulldog comes rolling up to the couch. Without looking up, the man says “Take it outside.” And the dog rolls away.
Cracks me up!!!
I’ve only seen it once, but I love this commercial for the Boston Bruins.
I am mostly annoyed by the PC / Mac commercials. PC appears to be a guy who may be be a little goofy but works hard and is likeable, Mac comes off with an attitude of superiority. Why would Mac want to present their product as a smug hipster jerkass?
Despite that, I thought the one they had a couple years ago for Vista where PC kept getting interupted by the security agent every time he wanted to do something was pretty funny and hit the Vista nail on its proverbial head.
