I absolutely love the new HULU.COM commercials where they show all manner of drooling idiots watching tv. Now THAT is clever. I especially like the Seth McFarland alien–what a cute li’l belly he has.

I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the school that hot girl is advertising. They show it on G4 all the damn time.
I’ll go watch that worthless channel for like half an hour, when I get a chance and I’ll report back.
Haven’t seen that ad, but the ripped the punchline straight from Steve Martin. “‘Chapeau’ means ‘hat.’ ‘Oeurf’ means ‘egg.’ It’s like those French have a different word for EVERYTHING!”

I forget what the commercial is for…
It’s a guy in his car stuck in bumper to bumper traffic. He barely taps this lady in front of him. She gets outs of the van, (It turns out she’s a nun) walks towards the back to see if any damage was done, she then smiles politely at the guy still sitting in his car and then playfully taps the front of his car with her “poitning” stick she was holding in her hand.
The guy then breathes a sigh of relief thinking he’s off the hook. Then about a second later his car gets struck by lightning. At which time you can see his skeleton as if he were in an X-ray machine.
What the heck was that commercial for?
I might be in the minority, but I absolutely love, love the Burger King “King” ads.

On the other hand, you might feel that Liberty Mutual’s commercials were a bit hypocritical as you watched them lay off your friends and co-workers.

I always laugh at those NHL commercials where the guy is in the maternity ward banging on the glass and yelling about how his baby is the best.
I like the one with the dad making Rice Krispie Treats with his two kids on the rainy day.
Radio spots, but I’ve really been enjoying the Pepsi Max ads.

Actually, the NHL has put out some pretty funny commercials over the years. I remember one where a goalie was driving around on his lawn mower, just bitching up a storm! He was talking about Mats Sundin and how he hated Maple Leafs. Too funny.

That said, I still found the commercials to be watchable little mini-movies. The likeability of the ad campaign has but little to do with the product it promotes.
