The one I think it clever right now is the Travelocity one where people leap into getaway cars. Neat play on “getaway,” I think. I like the part where the girl is screaming at her dad to just get in.

I don’t see the whole thing on YouTube. Rats.

Time Warner cable commercials featuring an average joe; latest one involves a hideous, giant clown statue he bought but wants to take back because it doesn’t match the decor of the house/OR MIGHT JUST COME ALIVE AT NIGHT1

I liked the one where he was holding the tiny lab puppy; the subject of the ad was “satellite hates puppies” – if you spend more for satellite, you have less money for puppy kibble.

Liberty Mutual Insurance had a series of commercials a while ago in which a series of people see someone doing something helpful to perfect strangers and are inspired to be helpful to someone else in turn, with a very nice song whose lyrics I can’t recall this moment. I liked those.

7 different ads, actually, each featuring a different song by the band Hem. Hem is pretty awesome.

I think the ad is for Lowe’s flooring. There’s a couple sitting on the couch, and you hear a noise in the background. The man says “No skateboarding in the house.” Then a bulldog comes rolling up to the couch. Without looking up, the man says “Take it outside.” And the dog rolls away.

I think it’s Armstrong flooring, and the dog is called Charlie. This was the one that I was going to mention. It just makes me smile. The dog is so cute!

I also really dig the ads for Pepsi Throwback. They’re righteous and outta sight!
