Commercials you don't hate

I keep seeing this PSA against impaired driving. It’s pretty good.

The Doritos fetch me a bare. Guy got what he deserved.

Dean Winters Allstate commercials where he is various kinds of mayhem. I love him, and love those commercials.

I’ve come to like the disgusting little Mucinex guy. (Okay, he’s a booger).
“Did you really need the caps lock?”

The “Just OK is not OK” series is pretty clever. My favorite is the babysitter.
“What’s your wifi password?”
“It’s the names of our kids.”
“Well, that’s not helpful.”

I liked the Geico ad with Maxwell the pig holding pinwheels out a window and squealing “WHEEEE! WHE WHE WHE WHEEEEEE!”. I liked it so much that my mom brought a pinwheel with her when she and dad came to get me at the airport one time and I did, in fact, hold it out the window and scream “WHEEEE! WHE WHE WHE WHEEEEEE!”

I think Dad cringed, and Mom shook her head but was very very amused. I had fun.

Being Wednesday I have to say (or repeat) “Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike, guess what day it is? Ha-ha!”

I always want to do that but someone in our offfice goes by that name and he is a humorless twat.

I like Flo, especially Janice bought a house

Even better, Progressive’s favorite butt monkey has his 40th birthday party.

I like the new KFC commercials with Col. Sanders as RoboCop. They even got Peter Weller to do his voice.

It’s a little old, but every time the Taco John’s Taco Tuesday commercial is shown (only on Tuesdays!) I have to watch. The plain-looking girl is a pleasant surprise, but I always laugh at the talking taco: “What day is today?” “Tuesday!”

The one commercial I’ll always watch is Captain Obvious and the pug bongos. Especially the long-suffering expression on the face of that middle pug.

I finally actually watched and discovered that the latest Stella Artois commercial is fiendishly clever. The best thing about it is that it lets the viewer discover the joke. My wife didn’t understand until I explained it.

Plus they go against basic advertising principles by mispronouncing the product’s name (the second time). And the final line – “The Dude imbibes” is great.

Meh. Captain Obvious is supposed to be obvious, not weird.

I like the Geico commercial with the barbershop quartet basketball team.

I don’t like State Farm for what they tried to do to my dad’s policy but they consistently have good commercials. Much better than GEICO’s idiocy or Progressive’s jackhole box.

The fender bender with a helium truck is not too bad.

Those are the best Robo’s been since the very first movie.

I like the commercials for some tax-prep service touting their live people available to help. Not the service, or the commercials in general but the nerdified cute but snarky girl in most of them.

I also like the Geico commercial with the oil workers striking soft serve ice cream. Then, another nearby well starts to spout sprinkles.
