Commercials you don't hate

I like the Hilton girl. She’s a hottie with attitude. I see stardom for her.

In the Annoying Commercials thread I said that I found the lying pimply girl a lot more engaging than the confident, clear-skinned version.

I smiled most when she spit her gum.

Good commercial; terrible company.

I did some research on them when Wells Fargo, which held our mortgage at the time, tried pressuring us into a contract with AHS.

Question about two commercial characters I like. Is the Got Milk Aaron Burr guy the Progressive Not Flo guy?

Sean Whalen

Jim Cashman

Throw in the guy who plays Stuart on TBBT (Kevin Sussman) and you got triplets.

I love the Subaru commercials with the dogs. Here’s their latest one. A group of retrievers pile out of a Subaru at a hot dog wagon and order a pile of wieners. They’re accosted by three Dachshunds that growl at them menacingly.

This one about machine learning tools and cat behavior is somewhat long, but I enjoyed watching it:
How Machine Learning Kept Out The Cat

These commercials were aired regionally by an auto dealership in Oregon. I caught these on YouTube.

The Trunk Monkey.

I came to post that one. Our doxie boy died three weeks ago, so I smile, but with a tear in my eye.

And they’re not just three dachshunds – they’re a dachsund family with an adorable sad-faced little puppy.

The Geico commercial with the clown car collision is growing on me.

Farmers.

Here’s another Subaru commercial.

A dog sees a cat lying on top of a Subaru from inside the house and starts barking at it. Another dog comes up next to him and touches an app on his phone and remotely beeps the horn, scaring the cat away.

Some of the Progressive commercials are pretty good, too. Here’s Progressive Park.

It begins with a faux commercial showing people enjoying such “attractions” as the Traffic Jam and the Never Bump bumper cars. Cut to Flo and a couple of other Progressive agents facing an empty parking lot.

Flo: “Maybe an insurance park was a bad idea.”

I’ve been unable to pick up my usual Internet feed this weekend so I’ve been listening to 6iX instead. They have an amusing spot for a mortgage service, the background sort of features Beaker “meeping” to the theme from The Great Escape.

The Slingers for Sling TV just kill me! The one where they have a ‘slinger party’ and a couple wearing ‘Eyes Wide Open’ masks ask when the action is going to start, (‘We are already KNEE DEEP in action, Baby’…‘so, we’re not gonna -’) . cracks me up.

AT&T’s “Just ok is not ok” commercials are pretty good. I really like the Dutch interpreter.

“This man is very bendy.”

Don’t worry. My Dutch is ok.

Here’s my new favorite:

United Healthcare - Birds crash a wedding.

I like the motaur commercials from Progressive.

We are Farmers…with Muppets!
