While it’s too damn early for Christmas commercials, at least QVC is running an amusing one.
There’s a cute Uber (stay flexible) commercial with a cute older lady and her dog Buddy who drives for Uber. (Buddy doesn’t drive). She drives for as many hours as she wants a week.
Sorry if this has been posted, but I just saw the :15 second version of this commercial, Duracell - Extra Life, Extra Power https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrOBVN5Lapc and literally laughed out loud. Found the :30 second version and LOL again!
I hate the idea of promoting a commercial, but this is the very rare exception!
Edit: Just watched it again. Still funny! The final close-up of the girl in couch does it for me!
Ok, the Dinty Moore Beef Stew 30 second spot cracks me up. ![]()
I actually like Jon Hamm’s ads for SkipTheDishes (a Canadian service like UberEats or Doordash). The most recent includes my favourite gags. Although the ‘spa-jetty’ gag from the ‘being a celebrity isn’t easy’ one is good, too.
I want to be the Chantix turkey. Great slow paced life, savoring every moment.
Love the Mayhem commercials- the cat, the dog, and now the mother-in-law. The costar in the latter two has great chemistry with him, hope we see more of her.
Tina Fey? I liked those commercials less because having a celebrity added takes the focus away from Mayhem.
Didn’t realize it was her. I think it’s great fun to have someone for Mayhem to interact with.
He was her love interest on 30 Rock, so there is established chemistry. He called her dummy a lot, hence the line in the commercial by her “who is the dummy now?”.
Interestingly, this same commercial appeared recently in the “again with the annoying commercials” thread.
I love this Crest commercial.
The actress has such a beautiful smile she makes me feel better every time I see it.
Yes to both… I commented in #357 that I envy that turkey.
Frito-lay has a long “My Favorite Things” commercial starring Anna Kendrick that’s pretty funny. I saw it during NBC’s Macy parade coverage, but I bet it gets shortened in later showings.
This commercial moved me to tears. It’s a new short film from Comcast in which E. T. returns to Earth and reunites with a grown-up Elliot, played by Henry Thomas from E. T.: The Extraterrestrial.
I know this has been posted in another thread, but I thought everybody would enjoy it here, too.
Another good Muppets Portal commercial.
I do like the Allstate ad with the surgeon who is “just OK”.
“Guess who’s been reinstated! Well, not officially.”

Ugh. Eight pages.
Welp, I can’t be using up the whole day trying to see if this has been submitted yet. It really supports the argument that even though professional football is a useless activity, Super Bowl commercials make it all worthwhile.
Funny thing is, that doctor is exactly like every doctor I’ve ever encountered.
