Commercials you don't hate

The Hotels.com Capt. Obvious spots have always seemed a bit…well…obvious, but I have to admit, this one took me by surprise.

Why is she there and we’re here?

Mentioned it.

“condoms”

I didn’t realize it has been around for so long. The first one I saw was right after Christmas and it seems to be on regular rotation on a couple of networks now, so I only looked back a couple of weeks for prior posts. My bad.

Just one more reason for the inevitable robot uprising: - YouTube

The Indeed Radio Commercial:

Announcer: Okay, there is no monkey (cymbal clanging continues). I said (screaming) There is so monkey.

I suspect that was not in the original script, but someone was not paying attention and didn’t turn off the monkey. Always cracks me up.

Two of the new sequel Geico commercials starring the woodchucks.

I remember looking forward to the Geico ads that imitated the stye of unsolved mysteries.

I.e. a man in a suit saying, “Does GEICO save you money on insurance, does…”

Cut to a silly punchline.
My favorite of them all is this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPX2cQP8uoI

I love the Doritos commercial featuring Sam Elliott, who slowly recites the lyrics to a song called “Old Town Road”.

Hyundai’s “Smaht Pahk” commercial.

:musical_score::notes:I love that dirty water,
I love that dirty water🎶

‘Smaht Pahk’ was great, but my favorite was the Maloney-Lyons parody on the Godfather. The emu head was priceless.

From the distant past, the Stan Freberg commercials were a refreshing change.

I liked the Shining Mountain Dew commercial and the one where all people came together to clean the house. Biggest loser: the Tide Pod series with the saga about the guy not getting his shirt clean. Hey genius, clean it yourself or change it, just shut the fuck up about it.

This was mentioned in the Groundhog Day thread, but here’s Bill Murray reliving Groundhog Day.

New Geico commercial: Pinocchio tries to talk his way out of getting a parking ticket.

New Geico commercial. The gecko welcome the new neighbors.

Also a new sequel with Joe Buck, raccoons, and woodchucks.

Maybe it was mentioned, maybe not…The General Insurance commercial, where the guy can’t afford car insurance and has to go shopping with Grandma on her scooter. He’s sitting, miserable, on the back as they putt along, joggers passing them by, she’s wearing goggles -‘COMING IN HOT’…

Maybe because I owned one and it may be my favorite car ever, but the Toyota Highlander commercial that debuted during the Super Bowl still gets me smiling.

“That’s not it’s mouth”

For some reason, the Geico gecko always makes me smile.

I like all the Pom Wonderful Worry Monster ones.
