Philippe Petit? I saw that, and it definitely will give you sweaty palms even if you’re not especially afraid of heights.
The CGI view of him looking down made me want to close my eyes.
I didn’t see the biopic about Philippe Petit, but I did see the documentary, “Man On Wire”, on the afternoon of January 15, 2009. I remember that date, because I was off work that day, and when the documentary ended, I turned the TV over to CNN and saw all that footage of people standing on the wings of an airplane that had crash-landed in the Hudson River.
Anyway, this commercial is getting played a lot in my area right now.
Hello, Nice, Love It, YouTube Link To Those Because I Never Seen These Ads!
Yes, that is a big help, rather than “That Insurance commercial I saw” . Welcome to the SDMB,
Geico seems to have sh!t-canned the wretched caveman commercial and brought back the aunts! I love the aunts!
The oringinal caveman commercials were good, but this latest round with him somehow being diminished by mid-life were pathetic, lame, and just sad.
I generally hate the Zocdoc commercials, but the one with the hockey players and their broken teeth cracks me up. Possibly because I can relate.
Would a caveman know what a sh!t can is for?
Of course they do. They’re actually quite sophisticated, even to the point of preferring mango chutney.
You could say they’re mezosexual.
Maybe it’s been mentioned, but the Omega XL commercial with the retired EMT lady. She is adorable! I want to give her a big hug.
I think I might have mentioned it in the commercials I hate thread.
“I walked SIX BLUCKS I am soooooooo proud.”
(they play it far too much on the L&O rerun channel.)
I like the one with the kindly fever monster who gives encouragement to the sick lady…and then he’s joined by all of her fever hallucinations chanting her name! It’s oddly sweet and silly.
Link!
Oh gawd i have seen at least one other, and I despise those little voices. Not to mention, I am not fond of the candy either.
Link, please? Or at least product name?
The Zoc Doc fever monster:
(Turns out they’re actually chanting the doctor’s name!)
Cute!
I think advertisers would be wise to incorporate animals into their tv campaigns. There aren’t too many commercials so obnoxious that I won’t stick around for the cute critter. Think of all that good stuff (dopamine?) that googes around at the sight of a wee animal; human animals too.
