heh, did I mention that I cheated? I sat there with a walkthrough in front of me the whole time. I do that on all scary/boring parts, so I can get through them as fast as possible.
I quit at the museum, because it’s creepily quiet. Plus it was just another boring run-through-and-hide-from-people quest, and I hate those. I’m a badass vampire, dammit, not a cat burglar!
(Didn’t bother me, but then I bought it because I LARPed vampire and I loved it… actually the haunted mansion vaguely reminded me of the one halloween game I played at, where we were in a haunted hospital and my character was a malkavian medium, who was schizophrenic and blind… so when she talked to people she couldn’t often tell between the voices, ghosts or real people… that was fun that night )
You won’t find any set of space RTS games better than Homeworld and Homeworld 2. They are showing their age a little bit nowadays, but they still haven’t been matched in terms of style and full 3D movement.
For more current RTS stuff, I’ve been loving the hell out of Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War. You can get the Platinum edition for like $40 which includes the original game and both expansions. 7 completely unique races, great graphics, and very fast paced gameplay.
The second RTS I’ve been playing is Supreme Commander, which is essentially a souped up version of the old game Total Annihilation. Armies of hundreds of units covering everything from mech robots to submersible aircraft carriers. Basically if you like “large scale” conflict rather than micromanagement, Sup Comm will definitely interest you.
