For those of you who aren’t old enough to remember the Clinton presidency, they were accused of things that would make any accusation lobbed against the Obamas to be kindergarten stuff.
This is exactly why I’m on record as saying that I didn’t want Hillary to run. The obscene mindless hate for the Clintons is going to quadruple if Hillary becomes President. We’ll be subject to it every single day for the next eight years. Nothing she’ll ever do will be sufficient to overcome the smears. And then they’ll work untiringly to blacken her administration retroactively. It’ll be hate, hate, hate and we’ll all suffer.
Obama’s managed to get a lot of good shit done, especially over the last year, despite the endless smearing, sneering, resentment, and hindrance. At least Repubs won’t be posting images of Hillary eating watermelon.
I saw what you did there.
When did the Sanders claim that Hilary is second guessing her campaign because she’s had a series of strokes in the last few months?
No matter who the democrats put up they will have to deal with irrational hatred.
Having said that, why is speculating that a 67 year old could be having serious health issues considered controversial? Rick Perry had serious back issues that partly screwed up his campaign (he was on major painkillers which may have contributed to some of his gaffes).
The book discussed in the OP isn’t “speculating”, it’s lying.
I stopped believing anything anyone said about Hilary Clinton, as well as Barack Obama, without three pieces of documentary evidence years ago.
(Actually, I don’t believe much of anything about anyone, unless I hear the speech, read the bill, see the photograph.)
I hoped for a while that the Democrats would find a nice, straight, white, Southern Christian boy to run, and maybe ratchet down the hate a couple of notches.
Because that worked out so well last time, didn’t it?
Really, after this summer, it was clear to me that nothing would ease the virulent hatred boiling over in the Republican Party.
Hate, hate, hate is a given. There isn’t a Democrat out there that the conservatives won’t portray as the worst president ever if he or she gets elected.
At least with Hillary Clinton, they’re used up all the good material over the years. So a Clinton administration would probably get the least amount of hate of any Democratic presidency.

I’d like to believe that. I don’t. Too much baggage, too many lies already believed by too many people.
Well, given that a self-described Sanders supporter was carefully JAQing about it as the op of this thread, this thread is the cite, yes?
Is it true that she is a lizard lesbian overlord? Could be. Would be interesting if true.
Not really. Only if Wesley Clark is actually someone in “the Sanders camp,” instead of just some dude on a message board. “The Sanders camp” indicates an insider, or perhaps a group of organized supporters.
(What ever happened to the real Wesley Clark, anyway? He had such potential and then… bupkis.)
But that’s her strength. The lies about her are twenty years old. They’re weak. Anyone else is going to have to face fresh new lies.
That’s why Hillary Clinton scares the conservatives. She’s already survived the strongest attacks they can throw at her.
She’s survived the strongest truths they could throw at her and her husband, never mind the lies.
This seems to me to be convenient definition to create.
Lawd knows I am not the one to defend ElvisL1ves, but FWIW my read of the comment is not one that implies it comes out of the mouths of Sanders’ inner circle any more than claiming that Ed Klein is part of the official GOP inner circle. Certainly the only place I was exposed to this latest Ed Klein fan-ficiton was by way of a Sanders supporter JAQing about it.
The official Sanders inner circle is very much high road. No debate. Led by the man himself who I may not think would be either an effective general election candidate nor an effective President but who without question is a man who I respect greatly. Quite a few of Sanders’ supporters … leave it at “not.”
I think you are alone in your read on this comment.
However, I also think Elvis will clutch at it since she can’t actually find a cite of someone from Bernie’s inner circle suggesting that Hilary is rethinking her campaign because she’s suffered several strokes, recently.
I didn’t say that, only that this is the kind of silly, hateful personal denunciations we so often get from the Sanders camp, including in this forum, btw, are indistinguishable from the kind we started getting from the Republican talking heads for the last twenty years. I’ll add that we can, and need to, do better than that, hmm?
So is the official Clinton inner circle, and always has been. But the official Sanders inner circle is not the set of people under discussion.
So you’re ready to let the terrorists rule us? That shit is one of the reasons we *do *need her to win - to show that hate cannot win.
I hope, and think, you’re in the majority then. But it isn’t unanimous, not nearly.
He is? Is there anything that makes you think so other than that there are a number of people talking about it?
