Cranking Up The MMP

Summer job. She didn’t budget for having 2 months off and either she didn’t set up a year-round pay schedule or Orange County doesn’t do that. Disney only pays $8/hr, but as an employee, she can visit the park for free for a year, so that’s like a $500 bonus. I just hope she gets enough hours to cover the cost of driving there and back, since she lives close to Univ of Central Fl, which is east of Orlando and the park is southwest of the city. It’s about 35 miles and includes a toll road.

Back from erranding, altho I didn’t get my meds - they weren’t ready, so we went to Food Lion first, then I forgot to go back to CVS. I’ll pick them up tomorrow on the way home from the gym since it’s on the way.

It’s overcast and humid out - I thought today was supposed to be sunny and nice??

Happy Solstice back atcha.

Tarra, yeah, in by 8:30 and out by 9. Still good to see Alb though. Worked there before and loved it. Looked dry but familiar. Back on firday.

Durango substantially cooler. Loved walking through the old Victorian part of town last night, shopping and restaurants.

We’ll do Mesa Verde, Silverton, Ouray, raft San Miguel near Telluride later. Right now cheese grits, eggs and snausage far more important.

Wil get a butterfly bush and plant it near my window when we get home. Sounds perfect.

**FCD **is off buying new blades for the riding mower. The tip on one of them was bent down about 90° so it was making gouges in the lawn. Stoopit mower…

My husband, son and I had a very nice outing yesterday. We went up to the Seattle Pacific Science Center for their Spy and Espionage exhibit. It was actually very cool and there was a lot to see. After we checked that exhibit out, we went and saw some of the other exhibits, one of which included a butterfly house. It was very hot and humid in there, but the butterflies sure were pretty. Unfortunately, I could never seem to get a good shot of some of the more colorful butterflies. I only had my cell phone with me, so the pictures I took weren’t terribly terrific shots.

Traffic was insane up there due to a baseball game and a marathon, but we managed to get through it.

We came home from Seattle and just relaxed around the house. Today’s activities will consist of a trip to the grocery store, yard work and laundry. Tomorrow, it’s back to the pits of hell, AKA my office.

“I don’t wanna be a mower anymore. I wanna be a Roto-tiller!”

I made chrizo and eqq skillet for brucb. Added a little Queso Fresca for a nice change. Good stuff.

Glad you had fun, Taters.

Some days it doesn’t pay to read FB,
it makes me grumpy.

Somebody I know posted this

considering that she has never worked a day in her life (except for a short stint at McDs when she was in HS) and has done nothing but live off men and whatever government benefits she could get, it’s no wonder she feels that way.

**FCD **had to go to Lowe’s for the blades, and I decided to be nice and mow the ditch. I am now all hot and sweaty and probably stinky, but the weeds have been beaten into submission. We’ll see if he notices when he gets home…

I’ve closed up the house, dammit, and I’m having a cool drink. I do not like summer, and it’s not even that hot yet. Stoopit summer.

I still have my window open, I suppose I should close it.
I love the fresh air and hate being closed up.

For those not on FB, **BBBobbio **just posted that he’s going to be getting out of the hospital. Yay!!

Yeah, if he’s well enough to chase nurses around, he’s well enough to walk out.

Howdy Y’all! Deheathenization and N.O.L. have been accomplished. We had a supply Priest as YP and family are on vacation in Argentina. He shall return at some point this week. The supply Priest is a good friend and a great preacher so it was good. N.O.L. was equally good. Good food. Good wine. Good company. Everyone is gone, kitchen is all clean and dishwasher is dishwashin’ away. All is well.

I just stuck a chickie in the rotisserie. I think it will be served with boiled lumps of N.O.T.s and perhaps some sugar snap peas. That should be yum.

Yay for out of horsepistol mumpers!

Feeling terribly healthy today- walked to the allotment (about twenty minutes away) chopped down a small tree, picked fruit, walked back. However, I have discovered the bananananas I had are definitely past their best, so some bananana cake makin’ may be in order. This may contain fruit, but ain’t precisely what one could call healthy.

On a side note, if you actually search for banananana cake recipes, Google gets slightly confused

‘Tis rainin’ as I post. A nice steady rain that I wish would hang on for a couple of hours. I hear boombooms in the distance as well. Sunday afternoon excitatement abounds!

I killded the MMP again! A storm came through and cooled things down considerably. Kinda nice out even if it’s still a little tooooooooo humid.

So, did I hear flytrap volunteer to start us off tomorrow? :stuck_out_tongue:

Supper was very yum, and there’s enough chicken left over to maybe make chickie-n-dumplins. Or chickie salad. We shall see. The dishwasher is just about done washing the dishes, and I’m about to recline the evening away.

MWAH!

MMPers, much as y’all would revel in my tale as a lead for tomorrow, I ain’t yet up to that much typing. I will start it tonight, and I will promise to include the two letters I’m writing to the hospital and the original blow-off surgeon. That will be a fun challenge, because it will say “fuck you” and “thank you” on the same sheet.

Welcome back Bbooobbbbio. Glad you are back.

Making margarita chicken with Queso fresco sauce and saffron rice.
BBBobbio, so you’ll be saying “Fuck you very much”?

No, you did not. I am inarticulate at 6:00 Ante Meridian, and have difficulty locating my clothing and feeding myself.
