I Went to the Liquor Sto, got pants at Tar-Jay, and bought foods at Kroger. Everybody was driving 5-10 miles under the speed limit today.:dubious:
sari, sounds like a good company to not work for.

I know how you feel Doggio with the slowpokes
I had a long drive yesterday and I was cursing whichever Deity who saw fit to give me only two middle fingers.
The company did suck to work for. I never intended to stay there, I just wanted to make a little money for my vacation. I should have quit a long time before I was let go. I still should report them to the IRS, we were supposed to be contractors but they treated us like employees.
Thus endeth another day - with the windows open!! YAY!! But it’s dark out and beddy-bye beckons. MWAH!!
TMI, Swampy, TMI!
swampy is the King of TMI.
Poke loin is done marinating ,and is in the oven.
sari, the worst part was the songs on the radio. [Boromir]One does not simply drive slow to AC/DC[/Boromir]
RT is home!
We went to a lovely little winery but we didn’t stay too long because the mosquitoes outnumbered us. Still, it was fun.
Bit busy at work today, and we have a breakroom refrigerator bandit. I lost a bottle of Mt. Dew, and I’m told others have lost fruit and such.
There was one at the Library where I worked.
I peeled the label off of a can of Dinty Moore beef stew, a can of some gravy dog food, and you are way ahead of me.
The dog food labeled “Dinty Moore” was gone within 24 hours.
I saw my first lightening bug last night.
Happy Sunday!
It’s a cool dark 67 degrees outside with a projected high of 80.
I’m up way too early - damn bladder - and will probably go back to bed for a bit.
**Flytrap **you are too evil, I can’t wait to meet you!
awake far too early. stoopit cat.
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 73 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 94 for the day. YAY! I loves me some Summer!
flytrap last night, in bed, OYKW and I…
Ate ice cream right outta the carton!
Nettie breakroom thieves are the worst! That’s one thing I’ve never had trouble with at the current orifice.
Rosie it was probably your fault Smokey woke you up. I bet her food bowl was probably 0.001% empty and she was starvin’!
Ok, that’s all I got for now. I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy must be fed. Then at some point purtification for deheathenization must commence. Then it’s hurry back to da cave to get N.O.L. ready. No Bloody Mary’s today btw. Birthday girl loves her some white zinfandel so I have that all chilled and ready. I be a good host!
Happy Sunday Y’all!
**sari **- when I took the dog out last night, our back yard was full of lightning bugs - seeing them always reminds me of my childhood, running around with a jar to catch them…
Good morning! Higgs woke me around 7, which isn’t too bad. The itchy spots are still making me crazy, and benedryl doesn’t help. One especially annoying spot looks really bad - if it doesn’t clear up in the next day or so, I’m going to the doctor, because it’s just not right - it was the first to appear and it should be cleared up by now. Stoopit poison!
I have several errands for later today - WalMart for some yarn, CVS for a refill on my lipitor, and Food Lion for milk and cheese, altho I suppose I could get the milk and cheese at WalMart - I’ll check the prices. In the past, their milk has been a lot higher than FL. Anyway, that’s my big excitements for the day.
We got some nice rain last night - a steady shower that lasted more than an hour. I don’t know how much more, as I fell asleep, but it was just the kind of rain you want to have - slow and soaking and not likely to wash stuff away. So yay!
Just finished an egg sammich, and I’m still caffeinating. Good way to start the day. Happy Sunday!!
MOOOOOOM :eek:Wally*World:eek:, Food Kitty, and CVS are all places one can go in a muumuu, fuzzy slippers, and curlers.
swampy, you say that as if you’ve done that very thing… And I have neither muumuus nor fuzzy slippers, nor curlers, so I’ll have to resort to the ol’ thong and tube-top ensemble.
My daughter had her first day of training for her job at Disney. She posted this in FB:
Now I know *for certain *that I could never work there - I’d hurt myself with too many
(I miss the old eyeroll smiley…)
FCM, is that a summer job or a new one in place of teaching? If you posted about it before, I missed it.
Not sure what we are doing today. I think it partially depends on the weather.
You’re not helping, you know
I know they’re common other places, but we literally get about 20 show up in the whole UK, on a good year. And they rarely make it up to where I live at all. It’s pretty special to see one here.
Irk did not go on too late, it’s school prom season, and we get the fun task of trying to stop 200+ 15 and 16 year olds smuggling in alcohol and getting drnuk… As the legal boozin’ age is 18, and some of those kids could honestly have passed for early 20s, this is… tricky. Especially as we can’t stop 'em leaving and coming back, plus they all showed early and were already there when we arrived, so we couldn’t do bag checks on the way in.
They mostly weren’t bad kids though, and they gave me spare cake, which was nice.
Don’t think I have irk today, but am very very dozy (probably because I had my usual antihistamine way late last night, and it’s not worm off yet.
Happy Sunday all!
I have only seen one, out in my woods.
I never knew they existed until I got a butterfly bush. I think that bush is one of the best $20 I ever spent and I love that it’s right outside my window. Between it and the lavender we get a lot of butterflies. I love when there is a huge cloud of butterflies in the lavender and I have to walk through them to get into the house.
Yesterday two little red birds got into a little tiff in the bush, it attracts a lot of finches and wrens as well. It won’t support the weight of the heavier birds so I think the little ones like to hide in there.
The first time I saw hummingbird moths I thought they were hummingbirds, then I looked closer and saw the antenna. I looked it up and found out they are moths.
Well I’m all cleaned up and nowhere to go. I thought I might go see a house today but the realtor is still waiting to hear from the listing agent. I’m still waiting to hear about the one I put an offer on two weeks ago. The house is still listed as active and nobody has heard anything.
I’m getting real tired of the banks and the way they are handling repos. They will let them sit and rot away rather than sell them. I know they don’t want to lose money but damn, the longer they sit the more damage is done and then they’ll auction them off for a fraction of what they could have gotten. Just stupid.
I think the HFH went out so that is a good thing. My mother is in the dining room and I really don’t want to talk to her today, but I need to go get something to eat. I waiting to hear what the next bitch from the HFH is going to be. I usually get pissed but I think now my response should be, ‘Thank you for letting me know what pisses them off. Now I know what I need to do more often’.
Up and caffeinated. Rainy day here, so i shall vacuum.
Funny how they expect us to get up at 0dark30 ,but if we wake them from nap time, they get cranky.
Don’t forget the white socks/black slipper footwear combo.
Nut, there’s usually a cloud of regular moths feeding and fornicating outside my apartment. If you close your eyes, they look just like Hummingbird Moths.
