Create an absurd Haiku!

Now I boldly go
In the refrigerator
To seek out new life

Here’s one from my boy scout days.

Peeing in the snow
On a January day
Makes a yellow hole

In case you didn’t recognize it before:

Pennies in a stream
Falling leaves; a sycamore
Moonlight in Vermont

Icy finger-waves
Ski trails on a mountainside
Snowlight in Vermont

Evening summer breeze
Warbling of a meadowlark
Moonlight in Vermont

Splattered from heated
Battles past, still caked over:
Dirty microwave.

Want one more day off
Dammit, it’s Monday again
Weekend was too short

Sugar and caffeine
And the Yellow #5:
Love my Mountain Dew!

This line contains five
This next line contains seven
This line, also five

Rival masked racer
Watching over me strangely
Brother Rex, perhaps?

Haiku tempts taunts the nerds.
What? Is there no Star Trek On?
I burning your Dog.

You know I never
Really understood what makes
Haiku’s so special

So what if its five
Syllables, then seven, then
Five? They’re so Over-

-rated. It doesn’t
Even rhyme! I just don’t get
Why people like them

I’ve tried sprays, I’ve tried
Soaking, and I still have ring
Around the collar

Days go by in pain.
All seems lost, pointless, hopeless:
Hee-Haw is still gone.

Neither God nor life
Gives us more than we can bear
Bad news for Pfizer.

Helen Keller heard
Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder saw
How Sanjaya sucked.

Writing a Haiku
Counting up the syllables
I am no poet.

Oscar Wilde’s last words:
“Either this wallpaper goes
or I do.” --He did.

Verses on the Net
Some achieve glowing brilliance
This one is a turd

Sitting here at work
Slowly counting syllables
Trying to make sense

1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Syllables in the first verse
A rotten haiku

Grand Finale ends
No new “Prison Break” till fall
I am very sad.

Oh, Annie-Xmas!
You and I, we share the pain!
Heart Wentworth Miller!

Sorry, that last one should’ve been attributed to Orbifold.
