Seen on an Illinois plate today: UBE 40. Possibly a fan of the '80s reggae-pop band.
HISCHLD on some crossover. “His child”, I guess. I mean, we’re all someone’s child, but I’m guessing this is a religious thing, like we’re all God’s children. I could only see the front plate from my vantage point, so I couldn’t see if there were any religious bumper stickers or anything like that.

Which reminds me of one I saw on my travels in Texas, but never got around to posting: A TX license plate YESDEAR.
Another sports-related one: a Connecticut plate reading BRONX_B (ombers presumably–it was at my local minor league ballpark)

Saw something that might have been 31BITS, whatever that might mean. The B might also have been an 8 which would make it just a normal style plate. It was a bit too far away for me to be sure.
Not a custom plate but I did see an Alaska license plate this morning. Don’t see those too often around here.

Okay, on the MassPike the other day I saw the following license plate:

I THINK the plate was from Rhode Island, but the car was just a little too far off and the license plate holder just a little too intrusive to tell for sure. It’s possible it was Connecticut. It wasn’t Massachusetts or New York or PA or NJ or any of the upper New England states, I’m positive of that.
The owner of the RI plate 2 is a former Olympian, or so says the internet. I don’t know who holds 2 in Connecticut.
Don’t know if that counts as a vanity plate, exactly, but I thought it was interesting enough to mention here.

I’ve been traveling and not really in a position to note down plates. But I saw one interesting memorable one yesterday.
- KATY2 on a FL 5-character Purple Heart veteran’s plate. Which can only be issued to people who present DoD paperwork (DD214) that proves they have the award. The license plate frame said “US Navy” on top and “SENIOR CHIEF” on the bottom. I don’t know how Katherine got hurt, but I bet she was something back in the day.
MAUI25 - maybe a memorable vacation?
Most of the custom plates I saw this morning were repeats of ones I’ve already posted. When you commute the same route at around the same time every workday you tend to see the same cars. But I did spot one new one near the office:
