Nevermind, I was conflating the Scirocco with the Scorpio (which was a European Ford model). I hadn’t had my coffee yet when I posted that.
The Scorpio was briefly sold in the US as a Merkur. I guess maybe they owned two of those, although they were not very common. Or maybe “SCRPIO” is referring to something completely different.

If you are wondering, UK has 8 championships (in men’s NCAA basketball), and got their most recent one in 2012. I’d be surprised if the plate was that old, although given that it was a UK Vanity plate, maybe it is?
(the answer to the other question that my first question brings up is, no, I am not enough of a fan to know for sure how many championships or when they occurred. But I’ve lived here long enough to be like "But shouldn’t it be 8?)
I mean, I’ve had my vanity license plate number since 1995, soooo..
My guess might be that the “007” may not be meaningful, other than it was a number that was not already taken.
Or a little of both, like maybe maybe they graduated from there in 2007, but UK2007 and UK 07 were both taken, so they had to settle for 007.
I think UK2007 has too many digits for that style of vanity plate. The idea that they might be a grad from that year makes sense. To me, anyway.

Saw PYRO WYF while out and about today. There is a fireworks store called Pyro’s here in town so I’m assuming this is the wife of the owner.
