I hope they have another car and plate that says F1SHEZ. Ideally on a fishing booster plate if AZ has one. Sadly, they do not: AZ MVD - Specialty Plates.
Wildlife conservation is as close as AZ gets. I wryly note that their rather pretty conservation plate is decorated with pictures of nine kinds of wildlife. Every one of which is routinely killed for sport.
“Conserve it so we can kill it” is such a quintessentially 'Murrican idea. Or is that “Conserve it by killing it”?
R2 BOBS on a Silvarado. “Are two Bobs”? I could see that as a reference to the two Bobs in Office Space. I guess it could also be read as a retort, like “Are too, Bobs!”
MS MNION on a Subaru or similar. “Ms. Minion”, I presume. I guess she either considers her self to be a minion, or she’s just a fan of those movies. I did note it could also be parsed as “Ms. Minnesota Ion”, which sounds like the nerdiest beauty queen ever.
At the latest reunion I was really STOAKED for the FAM-FOTO. It came out OK, and then someone add a PICASSO filter which unfortunately did some weird and to our mother, which is why we teased her calling her HAIR␣MOM. This was despite the Italian visitor saying K␣BELLA. All was well though once we put on some MUS1CA1 and danced the night away.
Some people really think that 5ZENUF2 when it comes to the jokes I try to make, but IAMWIAM3 and can’t help trying a few more.
LVABECH on a Honda CRV. “Lava beach.” There was also a frame that read “Aloha Santa Cruz,” so I assume the driver is a Hawaiian who now lives in California.
Maybe. But I’d bet a nickel that’s “Love a beach”.
I had an interesting brush w Hawaii just yesterday. What are the odds?
I found a muddy Jeep Wrangler parked a couple spaces from my car. With Texas plates reading MR.SHARK. Unseen by me the owner was fiddling with stuff on the other side of his car. And was made curious by my curiosity about his car. He looked to be about college age, maybe a bit older.
Anyhow, I said that was an interesting plate; not too many sharks in Texas. To which he said his family lived in Texas, he grew up there, and he had just graduated from Hawaii Pacific University. Whose mascot / sports teams name was the Sharks. So his Dad got him the shark-worded Texas plate as a silly grad gift. Which I said was a pretty neat idea & thoughtful gift.
And why is he in SoFL talking with me? He’s just prepping to continue his education at the university here near me. And near where we were parked.
Then we yakked about cars and my custom plate and whatever for awhile.
GURLZ on some crossover that looked to be heading to the school near my house, probably to drop off their girls.
1NOTRY on a Tesla. At first I read it as “One notary” and assumed the driver was a licensed notary. But it could also be parsed as “no try”, possibly a reference to the Star Wars quote “Do or do not, there is no try.”
There was a third one I spotted this morning, but now I don’t remember it well enough to post it.
