My first thought would’ve been Black Cargo, assuming either the driver owned a cargo business called Black Cargo or, if the driver was Black, a reference to themself.
Your Black Car Go reminded me of Biggie’s Escargot/My Car Go line and, with that, I just learned about the short lived existence of the Nissian S-Cargo…which is totally meant to be ‘small cargo’ not ‘escargot’ or ‘snail cargo’.
DRK LRD is a great one!
Today, a yellow Mercedes TD300 wagon. Like in this web pic:
It’s a diesel Mercedes-Benz W123. Model years are 1976–1986. I admire those old diesels. They’re near indestructible and can run forever!
I saw it coming up to pass me on the highway climbing up the Santa Cruz Mountains (Patchen Pass, 1,800’). I was admiring it behind me and watching it pass me, but as it passed me I saw the driver was a nice young lady and its license plate was BABE WGN.
I had to smile at that!
Double posting this because it belongs in both threads, in here and in ➜ What's the most interesting car you saw today? - #7370 by Bullitt ■
I guess a BLANK license plate can be obtained. And perhaps the driver of the CYA␣OPEC Tesla should meet up with the 4700-KWH Ford Lightning driver. Of course they would be unlikely want to meet the TOP␣GUN Ford Maverick driver given how much gas it and jet planes use.
I do believe it is GR8-TER to be for 4␣EDUC8N

Last week in Wisconsin, saw a Camaro with the licence plate JAN 6. The owner was alone, working out in a kids playground.
Saw a late model green Volvo SUV with the Feeding Florida food bank booster plate.
The plate read GRL␣DONE. It was parked so I know nothing of the driver.
The phonetics suggest “girl done”, but I have no idea what that might mean. If the “GR” is connected to the green car color then we have “green L done”. Color me still mystified.
I have not participated before.
Today I saw a car with the license plate “DOGTACO.”
I don’t want to know.
¡Tacos de perro mas sabroso en todo el mundo!
Welcome to the party. Personal plates are a gift of wacky that keeps on giving.
I bet you saw some real winners at work over the years. But probably don’t remember too many. Do share if you can.
I saw a fancy big ass Suv with plates
00H AHH
I was suprised the 2 "O"s were apparently zeros.
Saw E BRASS on the way to work today and SMELLY on the way home.
I saw ISMELGAS
Yo quiero Taco Bell?
They could be military.
Marine Corps = OOH RAH!!
Army = HOO AHH! (sp?)
(@Loach or any soldiers here, how do you guys spell that?)
Seen in a parking lot at the aptly named Space Park:
SMLSATS
In many states they don’t have ohs, just zeros. Too easy for cops or others to misread which it is if they have both.
Some states also don’t have both ones and Is. Same reason. Here in FL we have 1, I, zero, but not O.
Seen today: SAVNGAS.
It was on a Ford Escort that looked pretty old, so I’m unsure how efficient it would be now. But it probably is more efficient than a lot of the giant pickup trucks that are quite common here.
BMW sedan w the wildflowers & butterflies booster plate with BJO␣BYE.
No ideas.
There’s an RV in my road that has the number plate W111KYM which when presented like that doesn’t look like much. Here in the UK you usually mount the plate with screws and you can get colour matching covers for the screws. So you put a screw in near the top of the first 1, add a bit of space, and you get “Will Kym”.
Saw 2 PUPS on the way home from the store this morning. Sure enough, there were two dogs poking their heads out of the windows!
