Custom Licence Plates — Seen in the Wild

Thanks for the inspiration for my next personalized plate!
(I’m a supernumerary.)

I think it was the wrong model Honda.

“For I did not speak of my own accord” - John 12:49

I saw someone who was either a Heartbreakers fan or narrow-minded.

PETTY ON

How close were you to Daytona, Florida? Maybe a Richard Petty fan.

…..Yes, Richard Petty did race at Daytona and is a legend at the Daytona 500, holding the record for most victories with seven wins. He also holds numerous other records at the track, including most starts, top fives, top tens, and top twenties, according to the NASCAR Hall of Fame…..

It was a NY State license plate, but anything is possible.

TMI? On an Audi SUV, MY OUTIE.

On my commute this morning ZUMBA 1.

In the parking lot at work -01110-.

TUB GUY on the back of an old Suburban that was used for a small business bathroom renovation business.

Problem is, I’ve been on the Internet long enough to remember Tub Girl.

DANNY1 on a Humane Society supporter plate in a parking lot this morning. It was a 50-60ish looking woman driving, not sure if she was Danny or if that was a pet’s name.

This one took me a moment: On what I think was a Mercedes AMG GT Coupe, XY3XX1.

I went to school with a family had a passenger Econline with the plate 8XX2XY.

They might fit in an Econoline, but I doubt the coupe could fit its referents.

Saw B3AUTY while out getting lunch today.

MDOLPHN - My dolphin?

Miami Dolphin?

Yeah, that makes more sense.

Saw an equestrian booster plate. Those hold 5 characters: HRSLV.

Saw a 30-something woman with ROX⎵EEE.

I don’t know if I need 4-MORMOR of anything but if my mother asked I might just say YEA␣MOM. Of course if someone asked me who the first man was I would likely reply: UM␣ADAM?

I think “mormor” is a common endearment for “grandmother” in some dialects.

My nephew and his wife, who live in Oslo, recently welcomed their first child. These are the common terms in Norwegian:

mormor: maternal grandmother
morfar: maternal grandfather
farmor: paternal grandmother
farfar: paternal grandfather
