Custom Licence Plates — Seen in the Wild

BWYAN

Oh I remember that movie. It was awful.

I saw one a couple days ago. Not too amazing but good enough.

Here in FL the standard plate is 3 characters, a large empty space with a logo in the middle, then 3 more characters. Like this:

The one I saw was P1T BUL with a large Pittsburgh Steelers logo sticker covering the oranges and a Pittsburgh Steelers license plate frame in black with yellow writing.

Oops…I should have said “bwagging
rights”

A few years ago I bought UPTO11 and the lettering above simply said, “This goes”.

Had the plates for about a month before they were stolen, and had to deregister them.

Saw JAGUMAR on a you guessed it: Jaguar.

Couldn’t quite decide if it meant anything more than just a close misspelling of JAGUAR because that one was already taken.

Saw a political one the other day:

2STATES

Are you sure it wasn’t owned by a quantum physicist?

Wouldn’t that be:

CATINBOX

Saw one today:

LEGOMOM

we know what you’re stepping on in the dark.

My plate is SWTWF from my favorite ST:TNG episode. Memory Alpha.

Seen down the street from my house in Aptos:

Caught one at the grocery store today, on a black Toyota Tundra - “S1TH-LD”

Good one.

Would’ve been better on a Lexus with the Darth Vader helmet grill: Henry Payne » Cartoon: Darth Lexus

I saw one a couple days ago - JNKLZRD. Junk lizard? Any other ideas? It was on a Toyota Sienna.

Today saw BSHPIG (“bush pig”) on a jeep - obviously a hunter’s vehicle here in NZ.

And as I was dropping off my own car at the garage, saw PB12IN driving off. Took me a while to figure that one out…

That kind of driving?

Lead foot

A nice Ferrari 488 spyder on the road today, with F488 as the number plate. I’m not much of a fan of the ‘car model as plate’ but that one’s ok.

Depending on which state you’re in, that might be the only F488 so not a lot of competition for the matching plate. For cars that far out, doing the plate=model thing is understandable. COROLLA not so much.

Although the odds on being the person getting COROLLA are a LOT longer.

I’m actually in New Zealand, so there’s only the one national licensing authority. And we’re restricted to six letters or numbers on the plate, too.

Any great ideas checked here that are available gratefully received. :slightly_smiling_face:

I’m still waiting for both my custom plates and my custom frames to arrive (they kind of go together). It’s been 5 weeks… I’m getting antsy!
