Word of God has it that they initially wanted the Dominators in their robes, but went with naked because flowing robes would have been too expensive to animate.
There’s also the big teeth and the red caste circle on their forehead.
You know, I was thinking that if they ever get around to refilming the Dresden Files as a movie or TV series, Caity Lotz would make a great Murphy.
(And yes, I know about Paul Blackthorne… we don’t talk about it).
It just occurred to me that Barry probably was secretly hoping he’d be called back from going with the Dominators. If he’d really meant to go, he could have left a whole lot faster than just walking away.
Also, he should have realized that the Dominators would have found out from him that Wally was a speedster, and Cisco could teleport, including into other dimensions.
I was impressed by Willa Holland’s acting in the dream sequence. She has improved a lot since the start of Arrow (hard to go down…)

I’m putting this here because it won’t fit into the weekly Flash threads as easily. I just rewatched the first half-dozen episodes of Flash, S1 and it drove home one point: Caitlyn is (as a person) an awful human being, as a character, she’s just a wet, soggy mess, and as an actress, barely mediocre.
As a person, she’s a horrible drama-queen who makes everything about HER! Flash is beaten to a pulp by Girder? Oh, it reminds her of how she can has teh sadz about Ronnie. Flash loses his powers and someone is killing everyone in the CCPD? Pay attention to HER because it’s important that she does well.
As a character? Even worse. All of season one was about her personal drama with Ronnie. His loss, his return, his re-loss (although that might have been s2). S2 is all about her personal drama with (fake) Jay. S3 is all about her personal mommy issues and the stupid Killer Frost thing. It’s like there’s a team of writers who are all writing about how these character’s lives intersect with Barry, except for one writer, who thinks the show is “The Caitlyn Show! (guest starring Barry)”.
And while it’s hard to tell her actual acting skills, given the quality of her material, the actress seems to have only 3 modes: Sooper-dooper-happy :D, Awwwww-so-sad :(, and a sort of “I’m either really determined or I have constipation” look.
Kill her, move Felicity over to Flash and both Arrow and Flash would be better for it.
Did anyone make the connection between Supergirl being from Earth-38 and 1938 being the year of Superman’s debut in Action Comics?
Yes, that was the “Rory” I meant. I missed that “Skirt”-guy’s name is Rory.
Another question, I get why Brandon Routh said that Supergirl looks like his cousin. But why did Felicity say that it was like looking in a mirror? Has she played Supergirl somewhere?
Overall, it was fun. I may even try to watch Legends again.
I figured the mirror comment was because both of them are blonde, pretty, adorkable girls with glasses.
Yeah, me, too. They look very similar. And Felicity is also devastatingly hot with her hair down and her glasses off.
When did Ray get his suit back? I might have missed something, but the last I knew it had been left/destroyed (?) in feudal Japan, and Ray has been moping ever since, trying to find a way to be useful to the team.
IIRC, Felicity had injected Ray with nanites early on (and that maybe had something to do with how the suit works?). I figured Ray would discover he has the ability to shrink without the suit, making him more like the comic book version of the Atom.
Also, am I the only one who thinks it’s a crime that Felicity and Oliver aren’t together?
Last time I checked, the comic-book version still needed his gear to change size.
When they went back to the Old West and acquired the dwarf matter Ray needed. He was shown working on a suit for Nate when they got the summons to return to 2016. It wasn’t shown, but it was implied Ray finished his suit when they returned to the present.
True enough - he relies on his belt, at least. But he sure as heck never wore an Iron Man-esque suit of power armor.
I think she looks much worse that way. Hardly ugly or anything, but she really works that “dorky” ponytail and glasses look.
I agree that Danielle Panabaker is probably the weakest actor on the show (though not in the whole Berlantiverse), I think you sell her acting abilities too short. Her fully-evil Earth-2 Killer Frost was different from her conflicted Earth-1 Killer Frost which was different from Caitlin Snow disguised as Earth-2 Killer Frost. Even her Flashpoint Caitlin Snow was different than current-timeline Caitlin Snow.
The main problem as I see it is how Caitlin’s character has been writing. Her role in the crossover is symptomatic of the issue: While Cisco got to travel through time and the multiverse, and experiences character growth as a result of it, Caitlin is stuck playing nursemaid to Martin Stein. Literally anyone (or no one) could have gone with Stein to visit his daughter. She was equally superfluous in later scenes in S.T.A.R. Labs as she was unnecessary for the actual development of the alien pain inducer thingy.
I like the character overall, though, and am hopeful the Killer Frost angle continues and allows for more growth. She and Cisco are literally the only two original S.T.A.R. Labs employees left. Cisco depends on her more than he realizes. Just don’t give her any more romantic interests as she tends to kill them sooner or later. Give one to Cisco, he really needs to find a girlfriend.
I thought Caitlyn was Cisco’s unrequited love, but they never when anywhere with that.
I don’t need more love interests in the show, frankly. Barry & Iris and Joe and that new woman character are enough.
I like the latest version of Killer Frost, and it gives something for Caitlyn to do. She’s never really had a unique place in the show.
To be fair, there is actually a narrative reason for it to have been Caitltyn: because of her relationship with Robbie Raymond, she has a closer relationship to Stein than any of the non-Legends who appeared in the episode.
Mainly cause they needed a doctor that patches people up when required, and do magic stuff when confronted by new situations, she made the magic juice, that allowed wally to slow down when he came out of the pod, as an example.
Legends has the ship board AI do the med stuff, so hair cut, stein and jax can do the science stuff.
Loved the latest ep of legends, Rory corrupts Vixy and an old friend shows up.
