So anyway -------- I have survived my first couple Peak doubles and so far so good. Some melt-downs of both people and equipment but nothing drastic. I am doing another tomorrow and then its time for Santarchy!!!
And yes ---- I am this juvenile. 
Today is a very important day. Very important. There have been exactly 50 of them. Important. Yessiree. whistles aimlessly
All cleared for surgery. Off to get poked with needles, then off to airport for return home. Happy Thursday all!

You know you’re not a kid anymore when the birthday present is you giving blood. Though really, that *is *one of those situations where it’s better to give than to receive.
Sounds like it might not be nirvana in December.
Wow! You’re about to have your 50th surgery; that’s a lot! What is that, about one a year? 
My luck is holding out. That impending disaster doesn’t affect my department at all. At least not directly. I feel sort of like The Great Leslie. 
So far. We’ll see how it ends.

Aside from getting a stoopid electricity bill, today has gone pretty well; it was over £400 for one month for a one bedroom flat- I ain’t paying, there’s no possible way that’s right, it should be less than 1/10th that, and they’re apparently ‘looking into it’. What I think happened there is, when they replaced the meter (from a pre-pay one to a normal one) last month, they fed the last year’s data back into the system to generate estimates, but they’ve fed it in as unpaid use, rather than paid, so they’re trying to charge me again for all the power I’ve already paid for. I’m working on The Letter, in case ‘looking into it’ doesn’t generate a sensible result fast enough.
The nice bit of the day, aside from getting free food for a casual meeting, was handing in my first draft bit of coursework, for the module I’m actually least confident on (planting design). I got loads of positive comments including ‘This is one of the best in the class’ which is nice. Especially as he’d also set up a mock for the in-class test we’ve got next week, and I got pretty close to 100% on that too

Groceries procured from the local Pubix market and put away. Have consumed the midday meal so all is well. They had a group of 4-5 year old kids doing a field trip at the market, with the bakers showing how they decorated cakes, and watching kids be fascinated may just be the best thing in the world.
I went to the sto’ for some provisions and have done a bunch of laundry. Plus I lowered my landline/internet/DirectTV bill by fifty dollars and have a better plan. Go Me! From time to time I feel the need to hassle ATT to get more bang for my buck and today was one of those times. After all I have been a loyal customer for as long as I have had any kind of home phone service so I should be able to get some kinda kickback, right? I can also play the “loyal customer” angle up really good!

Blurf I have had the worst of days. The laptop with the hotspot refuses to irk so I have no irk computer. I guess I can and will use my personal email addy and laptop to conduct government business. Non classified but still. I am ready to throw the whole lot into the ocean. That would get me a nice vacay to the Federal Pen.

She’s been out, but the perfume endures. She’s an inside critter and it’s below 60° out there!!! :eek: Maybe I’ll sprinkle some garlic on her. 
I managed hamburger steak so the healin’ continues. YAY! I was worried about chewin’ but did OK.
I love doggies, but I’d never put perfume on one. First, I’m sure the dawg would not like that. Second, why?

I’m gonna sell hand-made soap at the local Holiday Bazaar again this year, so I spent the morning sorting all that stuff out. Now I’m all ready to go tomorrow.
Tis the season for fancy dinners for one organization or t’other. We went to one Tuesday night and have another one tonight. I plan to drink a bunch of wine. Although this one is a bunch of real estate people and should be good fun.
