D & D on the Straight Dope setup thread. (In Middle Earth FA63)

Don’t see why - with the mentality of a beautiful elf-maid and the ability to cast polymorph self, I’m sure love could have found a way had the question ever arisen.

I wonder if What Exit? is working out our XP at the same time as well as writing the next section.

Yes and no, I have a fairly good idea and just to to iron out the finishing touches.

Well I finally checked my notes. The Healing order are followers of Estë.

They wear gray raiments and Heal with Herbology as a Ranger, require Int of 14+ and all heals work at double effectiveness. The have no weapon use. However they are always the least likely to be attacked. It is effectively a field of barely being noticeable in combat. This is often far more valuable than armor.

They can also boost some Clerical non-combat spells. As an example, she could help Ghân produce a greater number of Goodberries and have them last longer.

I will find a way to introduce her at Minas Tirith, I don’t think it will be hard.

[Channeling my pupils] Sir! Sir! Mulligan’s the first to ask about experience points!

Knows herbology; double strength heals  ; ‘Sanctuary’ v enemies  ; boost other healers

…I think she has a much chance of getting in our party as David Archuleta does of reaching the finals of American Idol!!

Don’t forget it is very likely she is hot! Hot chicks always allowed in, regardless of class abilities.

And they wonder why female roleplayers are so rare :dubious:

He is joking upon the common theme. At least I hope he is.

Yeah, I keep thinking Aragorn in DMOTR. Note that I’m keeping it to the set-up thread.

ETA: Along with the flying squirrel comments

From the other thread:

How about ferrets? When did they come along? I’m a ranger, I should be able to have a pet too! Polecats were common in England; Professor Tolkien would have known of them.

Hah! Ghân can track, so he should get some ranger abilities.

Actually Rangers can and should have intelligent pets if they desire. Ferrets exist in my version of Middle Earth.

As you will never get a Copper Dragon as a follower, I instead like to play in the idea of animal friends along the way. A Ferret would be appropriate to your level.

However if you are at all thinking Beast Master, then expect to wait a few years before the ferret could be that useful.

Curses, foiled again. You continually see through my nefarious, but painfully obvious, plots. Would it make a difference if I hit the gym some more and wore a loincloth?

Hmmm, maybe I could adopt a Miniature Giant Space Hamster…

Well considering your other posts in the setup thread, I assume you were angling to rescue a slave girl that looked like the young Tanya Roberts.

Thoroncir would like to get a mumakil, but only if it can be extremely quiet. :stuck_out_tongue:

You can’t. Sorry.

Because “mumakil” is the plural, so you can’t get a

Leave it to an Elf to be pedantic.
