Da Hitchin' MMP

Home from Evenin’ Prayer. Nice service as always especially the healin’ prayers.

AWWWWWWW…keeeeeeeeeeeyooooooooote behbehs LiLi!

Yay for a good TA shortdrum!

Shortly I shall go lie upon the bed and watch teevee til nitey nite time.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

ETA: First on three!

Beer.

Your babies are so cute,** Li-Li**!

So… Um, I’ve been having trouble walking the last day and a half. Not due to knee pain primarily, but because my legs are weak and stumbly. The only thing that I had done different was to drink that evil juice. I can’t quite imagine that it would be the problem, but I quit drinking it anyways. At this point I am mildly concerned but moreso annoyed as I had to start walking with the cane again when I’m not at home. Here’s hoping it goes away as suddenly as it started.

Work stuff is finally working. Simultaneous yay and boo there.

You go walking with your trash? And you seemed like such a nice, normal person when we met…

Good morning! Nothing like starting the day by drugging a cat to really set the mood. Taz is on steroids for a few weeks and he was purring away next to me while I was watching the morning news, so **FCD **snuck to the kitchen for a syringe of meds. Most of them got into Taz, but a few drops got on my hand. It really works best when I hug the cat close to me so **FCD **can open his little mouth and cram the syringe down his throat. Oh, you cat folk know what I mean… :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, my sweetie is on his way to work, and I loaded the dishwasher and got it started. There’s a tall, iced diet Coke near at hand, and the only light is the glow of the screen. I need breakfast - will someone bring some to me, please?

We may see some rain today. My plans include getting a prescription filled for my sweetie, hauling the laundry downstairs and sorting it before the baskets get ridiculously filled, and maybe running the vacuum over the carpet. Since it’s Thursday, daughter is coming over for dinner, and I’ve already got a lasagne thawed and ready to warm up. I should probably check the salad fixin’s and see if I need to get more while I’m out erranding.

Except for the possible rain, it should be a good day. yay!

Happy Thursday!!

Not to brag or anything but both my TAs are awesome. I learn more in my Astronomy lab with my TA than I do with my professor in lecture and reading the text. I’ve heard so many bad things about TAs but I’m spoiled.
Welp, I went to bed at 6pm and slept until 6:40am. Still in pain. Gonna stop by the health center before my first class and see if they have any clue what’s wrong with my head.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 61 Amurrkin out and rainin’. The forecast is a high of 72 with rain all day. Fine by me. I get to spend all day indoors at irk so let it rain I say.

StickyBuns hope whatever that’s causin’ the problem goes away soon.

CatDude normally I’d say yes to the beer but it’s probably not a good thing to do before irk.

Yay and boo for stuff workin’ right gotti. I know the feelin’. It’s yay cause it’s workin’ but it’s boo cause that means real irk must happen.

I need some more caffien and brekkie for rumbly tummy. Then, alas, irk purtification must commence on a rainy day.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

Blurf.

Overcast with a chance of rain, then rain showers in the afternoon. High of 50F. Winds less than 5 mph. Chance of rain 80% with rainfall amounts near 0.2 in. possible.

Yeah nothing says fun like waiting outside a courthouse all day with 20 other photogs trying to get walk shots.

What is it you kids are sayin?

Blurf.

Wait - **Tugig **is paparazzi??? <pulls hoodie low over face and shouts "No pictures! No pictures!!>

Cheese on whole wheat for breakfast - meh. At least I’m no longer hungry.

I only have a small blurf today. I intend* to get out and come back before the sky opens up and dumps wet stuff everywhere. At least it’s too warm here for white stuff.

  • the best intentions, however . . . .

Just the one, Swampy? You underestimate my talents!

I have spent the morning supervising student presentations - not exactly boring, not hugely interesting, and not a very productive use of my time. Luckily my co-irker is going to supervise the afternoon sessions so I can get on with something else.

We went to the pub last night which was nice, I was extremely good and didn’t have any beer but that’s because I ate all sorts of junk during the day and felt a bit guilty about adding to it with alcohol. Not that I’d normally turn down beer, of course, I don’t want you to all start worrying about me…

Nah, paparazzi are scum who perpetuate evil on Earth. I am a newsman… who perpetuates evil on Earth.

I’m not a fan of this part of the job but if everyone plays by the rules we can all do our jobs with as little pain as possible (aka: stand far away and zoom in, just don’t make me chase you.)

In reality I sit in the truck most of the day (such is the hard life of the sat op) but I try to help my coworker cover the backside of the courthouse when breaktime hits.
Had a fun night last night - the crews of 3 of 4 DC stations all went out to dinner together at a chinese restaurant. Sat around and talked shop for hours, closed the place. Everyone ended up telling personal stories about the DC Sniper incidents a decade ago. Quite a night.

Trying to wake up now. Not working too well.

I’ve actually been doing homework this morning believe it or not! I’m taking a little break because I’m getting ready to go find something for breakfast.

Just wanted to share a sort of eye opening moment that I had awhile ago. There are two classes that I have to take during the summer because the only time that they are offered is on a Saturday and that never works for me. Well, the schedule is open for viewing and one is offered during the day (I wouldn’t be able to take any catering jobs for the month it was on.) and the other is at night. I realized that it was better to take the night one this summer and the day one next summer because as of next summer I won’t be a caterer anymore. I’ll have to close my business so that I can student teach in the fall. Granted, this is all a year and a half away but it’s just strange thinking that this stage of my life has a limited number of days that remain.

Step (1). Listen to either Fats Waller, Frankie or Dino sing “I’m Going to Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter”

Step (2). Listen to Paul McCartney attempt same

Step (3). Suppress gag reflex, find Sir Paul and punch him in the scrotum.

Oh, a White House media puppet. :stuck_out_tongue:

is it really that awful?

Today it’s a boo. Someone goofed and my access is kaput again. If only they’d followed the directions that I had a hand in writing…

Poor gotti:frowning:

I’m now showered, dressed, and ready to venture forth and tend to my chores. Plus my timing should permit me to have lunch out also. Yay!

Laterz, dudez!!!

At least it’s not been a total bust of a week. We’ve been busy with transferring electric and gas service, mail, newspaper, and setting up what could be described as the spigot from which we will consume entertainment, information and communication. AT&T prefers to call it U-verse.

I’m a bit fuzzy on the tech details so far, but think it’s either fiber to the home, or at least fiber to the neighborhood. We’ve gotten spoiled with broadband data - not all that long ago, a 768k DSL line was blazing fast. Next week, we’ll have an 18 meg connection, plus 200+ channels of TV and two phone lines, all entering the house on a single strand of something.
