Do you have an official word on that schedule? I’m looking to get back to NY at a reasonable hour, and that time would let me do it, but this is the only reference I’ve seen to it.
(I’d say “Cite?” but it seems kind of bitchy in the context)
I’ll be spending Friday doing touristy stuff, and I have hopes off getting to the Capitol City Brewing company for at least a meal. If any Dopers are hitting Cap City, I’ll gladly buy a round. Even if none of you know me since I mostly lurk…I’ll probably lurk a bit at CapCity Brewing too…it’s my way.
No problem. It’s on both of their Facebook pages.
There is a dearth of information right now, which is a little frustrating, but we’ve still got a month to go.
I am down for RFD if that’s what people want. Beer selection is great—they’re owned by the people who own the Brickskellar–food is OK.
Did I hear correctly last night that Ariana Huffington offered bus rides to anyone who wanted to go from NYC? It sounded to me like she said one bus at first, but then Jon expanded it to as many buses as necessary, and she didn’t back away from that.
The Daily Show rally email alert put out some misleading information this morning about Huffington’s offer. Their text says, “Arianna Huffington promises transportation to anyone who wants to go in this clip from last night’s episode.”
The correct message is what I thought in the last post and what the Huffington Post confirms today,
It doesn’t say whether there will be a charge for the ride.
And here I already bought plane tickets. I wonder if Huffington will reimburse me if I send her the receipt. 
They will probably drive down and back the same day. So no Saturday night Dopefest for the Hufbus folk.
My daughter will be accompanying me, but I don’t know if we’ll hang around for dinner - post-rally plans are still up in the air. As I always say, Indecision is the Key to Flexibility. Maybe I’ll put that on my sign…

As someone who has been to many very large 'Fests in NYC and organized (with much help) a Brooklyn one, lemme warn ya-- large crowds really upset establishments, even if you tell them how large a crowd is coming.

There’s a Chinese restaurant in Chinatown that my daughter wants us to go to, so I’m a *probably not *for dinner. I’ve got no problems if anyone wants to tag along with us, but I’m not trying to hijack dinner. Chances are we’ll go eat right after the rally, then head back to the wilds of southern MD.
Okay, so you should count me in, and maybe as many as plus 2 with me… One of them is a(n infrequent) doper, and the other is my brother from another mother – actually, were not related at all – who’s probably going to be my host in DC.
The “if that’s okay” I meant to include in there, repeatedly, disappeared. One is my host, and guide to DC most likely. I despise navigating that place independently.
