I just had a meeting thrust upon me for 11.30. I don’t think it’ll take a half-hour, so don’t wait for me. If I’m not there at 12.05, go ahead and eat without me.

You all know the (previously) unstated law of these kind of things: sometimes even the regulars can’t make it. I’m there next time, though.

I have a doctor’s appointment in the AM, so I’m going to be late to work. However, if it runs long, and I’m really late, then my attendance might be in jeopardy since this has been yet another Hell Week at work, and I don’t know if I can duck out for an hour for lunch.
I’m gonna try, though.

I just got back from the doctor’s, and I think my boss is taking off for the day. So, I should be there, too!

Come one, come all. It is time for our semi-weekly lunch gathering. Mark your calendar for high noon, this Friday (Aug. 31) at the 14th Street enterance to the McPherson Square Metro. Newcomers and the infrequent visitors (pldennsion, rtfirefly, etc.) are also welcome.
I’ve got a class at work tomorrow thru Friday. So unless they let us out way early on Friday, I’m a no-show this week.
