Looks like everyone has already left for the holiday or has company in for the Fourth. I’ll be in Atlanta on Friday so I won’t be able to make it…although I’ll be driving cross-country in a truck with you for the next week.
Well, I actually just got back from my vacation at my folks up in NH so I’m free Friday. Aguecheek, you wanna do this anyway, and see who else shows up?

I’m off Friday, and was thinking of Metroing in, bicycle in tow, to see the Folklife Festival. So I’ll just pedal on up to the MacPherson Square Metro at noon. 
According to my calendar, we WERE scheduled to meet today but doesn’t look like anyone else is up for it. I’ve spent the last week driving Aguecheek and his belonging cross country to Seattle. With his departure and Montfort’s previously, it looks like we are down to 3 regulars. I just wanted to get an idea if anyone is interested in continuing with our bi-weekly lunches or not? I know there are several DC area Dopers who never show up. Sound off and let me know.

Well, I’m still in if we can get some new recruits into this thing. It was fun having 5 or 6 people at a time, but it just seems hard to sustain that kind of level over time, which is a pity.
I’d be more than glad to come on down to DC, however I currently only have sporadic access to the internet and this situation will continue until I get off my cheap, lazy ass and buy a new modem. During the sporadic periods that I am online I would be more than glad to check this thread and let you know if I’m coming or not.
I’m afraid my presence will continue to be intermittent.
asylum - you don’t need Net access to come down. It’s every two weeks, meaning our next one will be August 2nd - mark your calendar ahead of time and you’re set. Of course, if you’re wondering whether the lunch is on or not, you can certainly pull my email from my profile and send me mail when you’re on.
As the commie of our little group pointed out, we are scheduled to do lunch this Fri., Aug. 2 at noon. As usual, we will meet outside the 14th Street exit of the McPherson Square metro station. Who’s in?

Is it time to maybe think about this again? Maybe once a month, I will be able to make it down to DC via MARC if Dave’s working. If he’s not, we still have to make it home by 4:00 for brat-face’s schoolbus drop-off.
