Just a note: two Fridays from now (the 19th) I won’t be able to attend, as Anniz and I will be in sunny Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Since I can’t leave here too early, and I don’t know how long it’ll take, any chance of choosing an eatery ahead of time so I can join you in progress if the trains take awhile? If it takes me until nearly 12:30 to get there, I’d hate to shoot everyone else’s lunch hour.
How about Au Bun Pain at 14th and I (Eye) Streets? I’m not sure who is coming but there do have vegetarian food if anyone wants. For that, you can use the other enterance to metro instead of the White House exit and the restaurant is across the street.
I’ve got a bunch of stuff that really needs to be done today, so I don’t think I can make it.
I’ll be there 2/3 - my AWS days revert to first-Fridays starting that week.
In that case, let’s just meet at the usual Metro stop…McPherson Square at the White House enterance at noon. Metro traffic was bad this morning so leave yourselves a few extra minutes if arriving by Metrorail.

I can try, but don’t wait for me. Many of my clients are west coasters who like to conduct all of their business on Fridays, so lunchtime often winds up being the busiest part of the day–that’s right when they’re rolling into their offices. That’s why I’m never able to get out to meet you guys.

I have a really massive cold this morning, and suffice it to say that even I don’t want to be in the same room with me. I’m going to stay home, stay warm, and hope that I’m feeling well enough by tomorrow night to at least put in a token appearance at Montfort’s gathering, so I can meet the beautiful Anniz.
Being sick on your day off really bites. Sorry I won’t see you guys today.
