To bolster the existence of Delaware, however, we do have some friends coming from Seaford.
Falcon, there are some B&B’s nearby, I don’t know how expensive they are, though. There’s also a days inn in Leesburg. It’s about 15 miles away. There’s also the scary scary Purcellville Motel but that place gives me the creeps. Tell me what you want me to look for and I’ll do the research and drop you a line.

19: Turn RIGHT onto HIRST RD. 1.8 miles
20: Turn RIGHT onto VA-690. 1.4 miles
21: Turn RIGHT onto ALLDER SCHOOL RD. 0.8 miles
I tried getting directions from Allder school rd to your place, but it makes me choose a block of allder school rd, and to be quite frank I’d never heard of the road before today:)

Take either Route 7 or the Dulles Greenway to Leesburg.
From Leesburg take Route 7 towards Winchester.
Get off Route 7 on Route 9 towards Charles Town, WV.
We’re about 10 miles up Route 9, at the intersection of Route 9 and Route 671. When you go through the tiny little hamlet of Hillsboro, you’ve only got two miles to go.
I am peeved. I darn all of you to an eternity of vague unpleasantness in heck because I just found out I have to spend the 2nd getting drunk with a bunch of little league coaches.
You know, appealing in its own way and all, but what y’all are doing sounds a lot more appealing.

Mark me as a maybe. My new company is planning to move offices on 1 June, and since I’m the IT Director, I’m in charge of all the phones and computers.
While I don’t expect us to actually move on 1 June, I do have to assume that whatever day we move will cause me to work super-overtime for the following weekend, especially since I have 50 PCs and 10 servers under my control, plus 50 phones and 15 printers, and …
Anyway, I’m still hoping to come. But, I dunno right now.
While talking to phantomdiver (who will not be coming, as the 2nd’s her wedding anniversary and she don’t do parties) about me having the suburban on the 2nd, I said “well, I’d be driving down to pentagon city station, then to hillsboro and then back to vienna, hopefully”.
She, knowing my profound ability to get lost anywhere near Old Town (which this is not, but whatever) and knowing what gas prices are, suggested that I pose one of two suggestions:
If goboy and Captain Amazing could meet me at Vienna Metro (which would be $2.10 one way, or $4.20 roundtrip), or;
If they wanted to pay for gas.
I would take this to email, but I’m still waiting to hear back from Neidhart as to if s/he wanted to come along, in which case s/he would need to get him/herself to Vienna Metro whenever goboy and Captain Amazing did, or we could arrange something in email.

I am definitely a solid maybe. I can easily take off work (my manager owes me a Saturday, anyway), but the thing is…
I was in a car accident yesterday. I got ran off of a narrow two lane road (in Loch Raven Resevoir for anyone who knows the area.) I filed a police report, called the insurance company, and no one was hurt (thank god! my brother and dog were with me. Swerving and messing up my car was better than a front-end collision). My car is running fine, but the passenger side fender and door is screwed to about $2000 worth of damage.
Anyway, I have to put off getting her fixed for two weeks, until school and finals and my vacation is over. BUT then I have to send her away. So after Memorial Day weekend, she’s probably going to the shop for, oh, about three weeks or so. If I still have her then, I’ll be there. If not, maybe I can hitch a ride with Falc or weeirddave or Juaniat Tech (I live in Baltimore County, JT). If not, count me as a no.

I have just received my work schedule, and I will actually be able to attend this shebang! (And there was much rejoicing throughout the land) Looking forward to meeting those Dopers I have not yet met.
So I’ll be in Virginia Beach that weekend on business. How far are you from VB and can I get directions? Or, can I get directions that I’ll be able to follow given that I know nothing about the area?
