Cool! Maybe we should let which location depend on how many takers we have for a Thursday night get-together. I’m fond of the original location in north Alexandria, but if we have more than a half-dozen in attendance, seating would be awkward, and we’d be better served by the Arlington location.
I wouldn’t be able to make Thursday, but Friday evening, that I could swing.

I knew you were coming to town but I didn’t see this thread until today. I’m with RT in suggesting Taqueria Poblano in Alexandria on Thursday evening. I’m sure one of us can pick you up at your hotel in Crystal City. I know gobear doesn’t have wheels so I will volunteer to pick MADs up at the Braddock Road Metro station at a pre-arranged time.
I’m also up for a bigger get-together on Friday if MADS on the other side of town want to plan it.

I’d definitely like to join everyone, whichever night it may be. May I also suggest the plethora of awesome restaurants in the Clarendon area (along Wilson Blvd. and the like), which would be pretty close to your Crystal City hotel. Also, the restaurants at Shirlington… we had a doper dinner there once. That also is pretty close to your hotel. And Taqueria Poblano sounds good too.

Clarendon is a great idea for Friday; maybe we can catch some live music: My favorite local band, Last Train Home will be at Iota 
The show starts at 9pm and has a $12 charge to get in.
Before we hog all the action, do the MADs east and north of town want to plan something in Maryland on Friday?
I would dearly love to plan something in MD for Thursday. Unless I can get a sitter, I’m out on Thursday night. It’s just too late for Matthew, unless we’ll be dining earlyish.
I’d prefer something Friday to Thursday, but NoVA is equally hard to get to for me, regardless of what day.

Nope. I’m out of town for the weekend, leaving on Friday morning.
Oh, one more thing. Sorry to stir up the pot but I had a thought as I re-read the thread. There were a few folks who preferred or could only do Friday, and most others seemed to be open to either day. So, if we did it Friday, we could include more folks such as:
