To chiroptera, in a word, yes. Some people do take the internet seriously and in some cases, it’s their only connection to the rest of the world. I know, I’ve pretty much been there myself several times in the past and have seen the same thing with a few other members here on the board.

I have an hourly rate of 19.32. I’ve posted that.

19.32 x 20 x 4 = 1545.60.
Or 19.32 x 20 = 386.40. x 52 weeks a year = 20,092.80…except that I don’t work year round. So that’s assuming I get a summer school slot (we all want em, and not all of us get em).
I only have a 10 month contract. I think it’s 40 weeks. I haven’t checked. So 386.40 x 40 = $15,456.00. Add child support (I’ve said before my son’s dad is generous and well, loaded) and it’s about $39,456. But living costs, the amount of money I spend on his food, his schooling, and whatever and we make it and it feels nice to share when I can. We just can’t afford major emergencies. Or rather, when I do have a major emergency, my savings is depleted or I’m selling something online. (Dentist, car problem, etc. Just the car issue alone cost me $2,000 since December 26th.)
The salaried employees don’t get the 19.32 rate. They get a salary of about $33k a year and benefits (the company is OK, not too generous though). So that would put me at the 57 ish mark in 2012 if I get a spot. I’m not sure exactly how their pay structure is, just that their hourly rate is lower re: benefits, time off, etc.

If this world is just make-believe, then you shouldn’t feel strongly one way or the other. Not caring implies indifference, not cruelty. Being a jerk on a message board is far more indicative of a disordered personality than caring about someone on a message board. In my non-expert opinion, of course.
Nah, but if one is truly agoraphobic (or has an agorophobic ex, it gets confusing who has which disability) then hanging out in bars, weekly lunches,some sort of parenting classes, gambling, being out downtown after 9 pm, and somehow managiing to be a full-time part-time teacher and yadda yadda…wait, what is agoraphobic?
