Allow me to tick everyone off now…I realize I may be asking for a pit. I think the biggest reasons his remarks made everyone so upset it there may be truth to some (not all). Basically he said, a big percentage of guys prefer thin girls. I agree with that. My best friend is about a size 4, I’m a 10. When we go out, she gets hit on a lot, I don’t. I’m not ugly, in fact I think I am very attractive, but you can judge for yourself here . I think he is right that most * younger * boys do prefer thin girls. I get hit on a lot by older guys though (I mean about my parents age), so I don’t think it is true for them. Although he additude definitly left a lot to be desired, I do think on that account he may be right 
Well, remember that the looks of a “size 12” varies depending on what the height of the woman is. I wear 10-12 and am 5’9"; I’m not real curvy except that I do have some decent hips on me. Someone who was, say, 5’ and who was a size 12 would look very different in shape.
Of course, maybe he’s judging by fashion model standards, which means that you have to be around 6’ and a size 4 at most. 
His remarks annoyed me because he made generalizations about men and women that hold no factual basis. That, and the fact that he is posting things like that just to piss people off and get a response.

I don’t think it’s your looks that are keeping you from getting hit on. I think it’s the crowd you are in. I don’t know what “crowd” that is, but one Universal Truth I know about life is this: we all have our “audience.” We all have certain places or areas or types of people that are “right” for us. And apparently the “audience” that is right for your size 4 friend is not right for you.
That’s all I can think of—certainly you are very attractive. I am absolutely 100% sure that your weight has little bearing on anything.
And regarding the OP and transitionality: oy vey. This kid will learn. And it’ll be painful. Being him must be a punishment.

I used to be a 2 or a 4. In the last year (due to some health problems), I have balooned
up to an 8. Heck - some slim hipped brands I need to take a 10.
You know what? I get WAAAAAAY more male attention now than I used to. In fact, most people, Dr included think that I look 100X better now than I used to - FWIW I’m tallish - about 5’9", so the 2 was probably stretching my luck. However, I’m definantly getting more interest from the fellas now.

You know what, transitionality? You talk an awful lot about who you would and wouldn’t like to fuck. Here’s something you might want to consider-
Most women do not like to fuck assholes. Women don’t generally enjoy the company of men who insult entire groups of people in one fell swoop, without knowing any of them. Sure, there are some. But, as you so generously pointed out, there are all kinds of fetishes. You can lust after the women you consider to be within your “ideal weight range” all you want, but I’d place bets that you don’t get laid too often. (Dispute all you want. It’s unprovable on a message board, naturally.)
As a “hot” chick who fits nicely into your “Monica Belucci” range, I know I sure wouldn’t be interested.
