Some points of interest after reading that thread,
if you would be so kind as to post for me, I’d
adore you forever.
A.) I’m alive, I’m in New York City, and working
in an ad agency. I may or may not move back to
Burlington soonish. Homesick, it’s expensive and
dirty and exciting, but I think I might be more of
a quiet tea-drinking, sewing clothes type of girl.
I might stay, though. I’m all confuzzled.
B.)I am afraid to sign back up to ye olde Dope,
because I am unproductive enough at work as it is.
Damn you, Myspace! What with the majority of my
friends living 8 hours away, it’s more or less my
best way of communicating with them. There’s a
thin line between “curiousity” and “unfettered
voyerism.”
C.) Tell Shirley Ujest that I say Hi, but it was
MY mother, not Sara’s who always (still) writes
“Always Strive for Crisper Lettuce.” In the past
two years, my parents have divorced and self-same
momma survived breast cancer. It’s been a tough
year, and she’s still reeling. As are we all. For
the record, I miss Sara, too.
D.) I miss Wally. Oftentimes I think about
someone’s post after he died, where they said “The
thing is, if he hadn’t died, he would have been
the first to post about how the FUNNIEST thing
happened to him, in his typical dry wit.” That’s a
paraphrase, but I think about that a lot. Funny
story if you don’t get seriously hurt, tragic if
you do. Beware of cybersex. These are good lessons.
E.) Bricker! Yesss! Three minute mysteries,
indeed. I still try and remember some of them when
stuck on a long road trip or whathaveyou. I rarely
do. Bah.
F.) And, of course, Trip here. I’ve been all
absorbed in my own life and drama. Not keeping him
updated on all of it at ALL, or catching up on his
drama. Bah to me.
G.) Other people I’m in periodic contact with:
soulsling is living in Brooklyn, married and
expecting his first baby this fall. He has two
tiny dogs and is a real estate broker. Eowne and I
ran in similar circles in Burlington, and would
run into each other a lot. Occationally we’d go to
Pub Quiz and scream answers out. Occationally,
they’d be correct.

I think that’s about all the news that’s fit to
print. Oh, yeah, I’m still long winded.

So, she’s alive and well. And says “Howdy!”

Zenster and Collounsbury were fun reads in their own right. tatertot was neat before the meltdown. Nice to hear the poster formerly known as jarbabyj is occasionally around. Rammstein plays here often and I always think of her.

Can’t believe I missed seeing this thread for so long. Tars Tarkas posts to rec.games.roguelike.nethack. I was rather surprised to find him here but by the time I joined he was long gone.
