Dexter: "I Had A Dream" - 12/7/08 OPEN SPOILERS

What did he use as an excuse? He’s a known friend of Miguel’s so, perhaps he will have a good enough reason to have been there (I honestly can’t remember what he told the maid).

Could be, but it certainly seems like it goes against his usual extremely careful planning.

He gave her a couple dollars and asked for turn down service. She keyed the two of them in and then asked her to leave to make a phone call. No excuses, he just pretended to be the person staying there.

I’m sure if needed Dexter will have a good reason why he went to Miguel’s hotel room. Also remember he went to his house and found Ellen Wolf’s ring and he said he did that to look at his book collection for a present for being his best man.

It occurs to me that Dexter seeing Miguel’s laptop with the recent search would clue him in that perhaps he shouuld be more careful in his cyber sleuthing at the office.

Dex and Miguel have been ‘really’ close friends for a while now - if questioned on being in Miguel’s room - he can simply say he was leaving a note, picking up an item that Miguel had left for him, or any other number of ‘reasonable’ excuses … my guess, however, is that this never comes up. (Perhaps by Ramon, in reviewing secuiryt footage, but it wont in any official manner)

Should make for a really good episode - probably should be 2 hours with as much as they have to clear up.

My guess -

Dexter is indeed captured by the skinner, and manages to get ‘rescued’ just in time… the skinner dies during this bits (at Deb’s hands) and the frame up of Miguel’s death to the skinner sticks. Ramon is likely jailed or perhaps commits convienient suicide.

So, maybe I’m just not remembering something. But do we know why Miguel and the skinner are buddies?

Joey P, good question. Since Miguel and The Skinner are both connected to Freebo, by way of Miguel’s dead brother, I think they knew each other before they talked at the police station. Miguel wouldn’t have enlisted him after just one short conversation. They gotta have a history.

And we have to see a Skinner-Dexter confrontation.

I would not be surprised if for some reason or another, Dex ends up killing Ramon. It seems poetic that because of one accident, he ends up having to kill all three brothers himself. Ramon has demonstrated his temper, so it’s not hard to imagine that after hearing about Miguel, he’ll do something that qualifies him for the code.
