I was not aware of this, but it turns out that I have a wedding to go to on the 30th. It’s not until 6 or 7 PM, but I don’t know if it’s going to be possible to attend both functions because of the differences in attire, distance to be traveled, babysitting arrangements, etc.
If I can’t make it work, maybe Badtz Maru or someone can pick up the beans and deliver them.
I freely admit that I’d rather go to the Dopefest than to the wedding, but family politics are complicating things.
Just wanted to give an update. My boyfriend and I will be attending the party. he is going to take the weekend off for me. He is a real sweetheart.

Hi all! I met at the Ditch with Grace, Chef Troy and son, Balance, Tommy the Cat, and Lucky Charms this past Saturday, so Grace is the only one of y’all that knows me so far. I’d still love to crash the party, if I may.

Bad news. I’m being flown out to California on Thursday. My flight gets in at about 7:30 Saturday night. Will the party still be going on, or should I just skip it?
Hopefully it’ll still be going on, because I’ve really been looking forward to this.
Ag - my house is just a hop, skip and a jump from DFW airport. If you’re not too tired from your flight, I’m sure we’ll still be going strong.

Yup, I’m gainfully UNemployed for a while and it looks like I’ll be that way for a bit, so I’ll have to pass on this Dallas DoperFest. And I was so looking forward to seeing all those guys in their swimsuits!!

Mrs. Chef agrees that the logistics of attending both the dopefest and the wedding are unworkable, so I’m going to have to bow out of this one.
Darn it, I hate to pass up a chance to show yet another group of hungry people just how amazing my grandfather’s secret baked-beans recipe really is. mrph.
Ok, I’m heading out for Canada tomorrow morning to bring back the lovely Runadoc. Unless I’m snowed in or something, we expect to have this thing well into the planning stages.

Now that the cat’s out of the bag, so to speak, I guess I can admit that yes, the 30th is my birthday. I will be [sub]mumble, mumble[/sub] years old. 
I still don’t know for sure if I and/or MrBear can make it up there that day. We suddenly find ourselves with numerous scheduling conflicts for that day, and that weekend. I would love to be there and see all of you again, and meet Runadoc, and the Dallasites I haven’t met yet. We’ll do the best we can, but at this point I can’t promise. Perhaps we can work out something with maidenunicorn on transportation, since that is part of the challenge. IF I’m still talking to her.

Yay! My company is having a golf tourney on the 30th so I’ll be able to make it with no problem. Everybody gets off for those, attending or not.
