Does anyone know how to do a drought dance to keep the rain away? I know some magic tricks for BRINGING rain, like washing your car and watering the lawn, but I don’t know any with the opposite effect.
On the bright side, if it does rain all the lines will be short.
If doing things you don’want rain to ruin brings rain, then doing things that need rain should drive it away. I recommend planting flowers or bushes that really don’t do well in dry climates.
I took it through the Exxon carwash on Thursday and when I got home I noticed that not only did it not get clean…it just left greenish colored dirt and was actually filthier.
Pissed me right off. Now I want to go wash it to get that crap off my car, but I know it will rain if I wash it!
I’ve got my car situation taken care of, unless the bank figures out that I can’t pay for it, but they didn’t last time so I should be safe. Of course, now, I don’t have any money left.
I still have a weekend project without a time frame yet, so I still don’t know about the fair. Grace, darlin’, I’d love to have your cell phone number just in case I try to catch up with y’all at the fair. I won’t use it for anything else, I promise. Well, I lied about that, but, I won’t use it too much. Ok, I probably lied about that, too.
If it’s like most thing between me and women, it should read “Join him in his mis-adventures …” and the title would probably be something like ‘JimB Goes to the Fair’
Okay, folks, with rain in the forecast for tomorrow, perhaps we should think about a contingency plan. The big question: How hard does it have to be raining before we abandon the idea of going to the fair? Bear in mind that there ARE fun things to do at the fair indoors, and also that a little rain will shorten the lines.
My feeling is that if it’s just sprinkling, or even raining lightly, we should go on with the show. If, on the other hand, it’s raining as hard as a cow pissing on a flat rock, or we see animals going two by two, then maybe we need to think of something else to do. (Which would be… what? Suggestions?)
I don’t have anything to offer for a contingency plan, but if Grace gives me her phone number (a risky thing at best), I’ll catch up with everyone. If everything falls apart I’ll be at El Arroyo for dinner.
Remember, the code name at the restaurant is “The Addams Family”
Here we are at the fair. Somewhere in Auto Pavilion. AT&T has some kind of set up here. Zyada is on the next computer and starting a new topic. Be sure to check out the new topic.
