Okay folks. Army of Darkness is the midnight movie at the Inwood Theatre this weekend. Who’s in?
FYI - Here’s the schedule for the next few months.

Come out to play! The Warriors · May 2 & 3
Keanu Reeves kicks major butt in The Matrix · May 9 & 10
The ultimate family gathering! The Royal Tenenbaums · May 16 & 17
Sigourney Weaver in Ridley Scott’s Alien · May 23 & 24
“Weird Al” Yankovic in UHF · May 30 & 31
Mel Brooks’ comedy classic! Blazing Saddles · June 6 & 7

Got milk? Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange · June 27 & 28
I’ll plan on making it.
But since I’m old, staying up till 2am may be a real chore. I have to keep moving to avoid falling asleep. Of course, since you’ll probably fall asleep, it’d be kind of like we were sleeping together. And that’s a GOOD thing!
Hey! Just because I couldn’t make it through Dr. Strangelove doesn’t mean I’m going to fall asleep again.
Melissa and I are both planning on attending. We will have to have the baby with us though, so the plans may change. Older kids are going to be with grandma. Believe it or not the baby sleeps through movies. One of the nice a side effects of growing up with older siblings who are loud pretty much constantly. If there is background noise, even a good bit of it, when she goes to sleep, she’ll sleep through it all. Especially if Melissa nurses her.
Enjoy,
Steven
Just got a reply from minty green after I dropped him a note about this thread.
Hope you don’t mind me passing the message along minty.
Enjoy,
Steven
He’s in Mexico and he’s checking his email? Oh boy! The boy is hooked!

I wish I lived within a 2 hour drive of there… Army of Darkness at the midnight movies is an EXPERIENCE!
I’m going to pass on this - I have some new medicine that’s making me a little iffy to begin with, and staying that late just won’t work.
Oh, I should note that it is Saturday night the kids will be at Grandma’s. So that’s the night that works for us. Friday doesn’t work because we’ve got girl scouts early Saturday morning.
Enjoy,
Steven
I have no problem with Friday or Saturday night. I think Mike said he had plans for Saturday and wouldn’t be able to make it. I don’t think we’ll be able to pick a day when everyone will be able to attend. So on that, let’s decide after we see what day is best for everyone.
Heh, well Aglarond had plans for the last time we planned a midnight movie trip as well. (inside joke, don’t worry about it)
Enjoy,
Steven
I have family visiting all week, so I won’t be able to make it.
So, do we have an early head count yet? I am really looking forward to this! I was also wondering if we are going to do dinner before.
Melissa
I say yes to dinner. After dinner we can go to The Lounge for drinks.
Maybe… just maybe I can get my girlfriend to go on Saturday night after she gets home from work. Yeah… and maybe I’m a Chinese jet pilot.
I’m confused Pete. Does this mean you can’t come? Does this mean you’d be coming solo? Does this mean Friday works better for you? Spill it!
Enjoy,
Steven
Kelliebeans and I would prefer Friday night so she can sleep in before work on Saturday.
Okay, that’s one vote for Saturday and one for Friday. Anybody else?
Melissa and I are looking at options to allow us to go Friday night. It’s going to kick our butts, but this is PETE! You can’t have a DFW dopefest go see Army of Darkness without Pete! The whole reason Army of Darkness is significant to DFW dopers is Pete! Well, and the skeleton who blows his load, but he’ll be there both nights. It looks like it might work better for Aglarond as well, although he hasn’t weighed in on if he would go at all no matter what night we go.
An overnight babysitter on a day’s notice. Cross your fingers.
Enjoy,
Steven
