The map doesn’t really convey how to get to Bobo China. The easiest approach is if you’re driving east on 635. Simply exit Plano Road and go left at the stop sign; Bobo China will be on your right before you get to Plano Road.
From the intersection of Plano Road and Kingsley (if you’re starting out driving along Walnut Hill to get to my place), you go north on Plano Rd. and turn left on Church, which is the last light before you go under the highway. Bobo China would then be on your left.
It’s not hidden away like El Arroyo is… you can’t miss it. Be sure to take note of the queasily fascinating plastic food items on display in the vestibule, especially the whole braised fish.
Now, all we need is a head count for Chef’s b’day party and we’re set.
Zy, I’ll try to come by some time this weekend to checkout the grill situation. And make dumb suggestions about other things, too. (Don’t worry, I’ll call first)
The 4th of July is sounding like it’ll work for my part. But there has to be fireworks. There are always a bunch of ooOOs & AAaahs and I don’t think I speak only for myself but I really like a bunch of ooOOs & AAaahhs.
Or maybe it’s oo, ooo, oooo, aaaaahhh, that I like so much.

I’m gonna be having a kick-ass time in New Mexico, excluding the unlikely event of coming down with heat-stroke. But since I’m going there for rather particular reasons, I doubt any of y’all would have fun, but that’s your own damn fault. 
If you are coming the other way on 635 (like I would be) I believe you take the Church exit and just go on down, it will be on the right.
I went by Zy’s today and checked the grill situation out. It’s workable. I don’t think we’ll need any hauling grills around or anything like that. We might need a volunteer chef, but we have one of those already.
I think the thing that needs to be decided is whether to bring your on meat or if we should just make up a big batch of burgers & hotdogs.
It looks like a go for the 4th of July @ Zy’s house, though.

I’ve got a Burn game Saturday at 7:30, so I’m not going to be able to make it. 4th of July I can do, though. I have no plans, yet, and I’ll make it up to Cheffie then.
Unfortunately I can’t make the birthday party either, but I can and will be there for the July 4th BBQ…and I’ll make it up to Cheffie too

I’m not going to be able to make the birthday party, and I’m going to be out of town on the 4th of July. Things are looking pretty busy in between, for that matter.
So here’s a virtual Happy Birthday to Cheffie. Your present is not having to listen to me sing “Happy Birthday”.
Hmmmmmm, I’ll TRY to get there, but most of y’all know my sense of direction. So don’t hold your breath waiting for me.
Sheesh. Everybody’s bailing on me. At least they’re not bailing on a meal I’m COOKING… that would sting a bit.
It’s not just you folks either. The creative department at my company was going to take me to lunch tomorrow, and when I just sent an email reminding them, my boss informed me she was going out of town. since it’s all about HER (>:^{P>) we have to reschedule.

Pardon me, I seem to have a smiley stuck to my chin in the above post. I’m not sure how it happened… usually a semicolon has to be involved to produce that particular one, and I didn’t TYPE a semicolon there.
Oh, btw, I wanted to tell whoever is keeping the tally of how many people are coming to Bobo China that ShadowMaster will be joining us as well.

We were invited to a candle party Saturday afternoon, I’ll have to talk to my wife about this IF you want us to come - I can’t remember much from the end of the last get-together I attended, I think my wife would tell me if I made too much of an ass of myself but you never know. 8^) The candle party is at the apartment of a friend of mine (the one that introduced me to Mrs. Maru) and my wife doesn’t particularly like her for a few reasons so she might rather do the BoBo thing. We haven’t committed to anything yet.
I looked at the email - it did say that the party was this saturday.
Adam - are you still having problems with that cat?
Of COURSE we want you and Kobiyashi to come to the party. If a “candle party” is like a Tupperware party, and not some kinky sex thing involving long candles that are about so thick grin, I can understand why you might not want to go. Even if you can’t make it to the restaurant, feel free to drop by chez Cheffie later for drinks and DVDs.
Oh, and you didn’t do anything particularly embarrassing at the mardi gras party. don’t worry. Peeing outdoors is a mardi-gras tradition.
One more thing: why doesn’t Mrs. Maru like your friend if she’s the one that introduced her to YOU?

She was good for about a week, but she seems to be back in heat. I’ve been diddling her with the Q-Tip, but it hasn’t helped yet. Maybe she is just a slut. The threat of a Chinese restaurant may shut her up.
