Howdy. Posting from irk cause this is like my second home. Each day when I arrive I say “I’m home”.
We have had rain now off and on for a few days which suits me as we really needed some rain.
Y’all be good.

pay no attention to Spidey. And welcome to the MMP. I am butters.
You’re new; you get a pass. Doggio (Dogbutler) OTOH, may find his running shoes wash up on a Canadian beach.
Seconded, ignore him and welcome!
I’m off in a few minutes to get my groceries. I love grocery pickup. For the umpteenth day in a row, we have clouds/rain that is not on the forecast. I’m not sure what is going on. It is Orygun. Clouds/rain should not be hard to spot or forecast. We keep getting “sun” though, instead of “Orygun weather”. Hmmm. I wonder if they’re giving us someone else’s weather.
They might be… Florida’s in their umpteenth day of rain…
Happy Thorsday!
Rain, rain, and more rain.
By the time it stops we’ll need a machete to trim the yard.
Frederick has the flooding, about a half hour away.
I do not envy you the drive FCM, but it will be worth it.
I don’t have to go anywhere until Sunday, when we drive down to the armpit.
Today is another make a bunch of phone calls day.
Joy and happiness there.
I woke too early, so I napped unti noon.
I need a good uninterrupted 8 hours or sleep.
Time to make some lunch.
Also chiming in to say “Ignore Spidey” - in fact, feel free to ignore everyone. Except me. Because I’m nice, dammit.
Two anna half hours to go…
Yes, dear.
What did she say?
Use a coaster. slides one over
When I took the dogs out this morning the air was filled with a fine mist and everything was wet. It was ‘almost rain’.
Today I want to plant some watermelons. A few years back a nice lady brought some yellow-fleshed watermelons to the farmers market and I bought a couple. They were the sweetest watermelons we’d tasted in years, and, thinking myself a smart guy, I saved a bunch of the seeds. Anyway, I got one of those mini-greenhouse thingees, like I do every year , and put some seeds in. I now have half a dozen vigorous little plants I want to put in the ground, hoping that this year they’ll grow fast enough for us to get some sizable melons. :dubious:
It gives me something to do.
Today is also ‘veterans get 10% off day’ at the Freddies (Kroger) store. I should go there and see if I want anything.
Carry on!
I love yellow watermelons. For some reason, watermelon doesn’t like my garden; can’t get 'em to grow. I hope you have success with your yellow watermelons, if only to make me jealous that you have yellow watermelons.
What did who say? I didn’t hear anything.
Adds own name to The List
DON’T go to the one on Elm Street; that place gives me nightmares!
Howdy Y’all! I got productive and made cookies. Then I needed a nap. All that bakin’ and warshin’ up plumb wore me out! We have supped and chill ensues. We’ll have fresh local watermelons soon. YAY!
ETA: We are supposed to get rain. Or not. TWPTB can’t decide on that apparently.
Worked, came home. Rain held off long enough for Me to give Gordie a long walk.
Hey! I had her back on this!
doggio, it sucks to have to clean on your only day off. When I was working 70 hours a week, I lucked out in that my cousin’s wife and her sister were just starting a cleaning business. Fifty bucks got my apartment cleaned and laundry done every other week. Some of the best money I’ve ever spent.
bumba, I hope your sweet, yellow fleshed melons weren’t hybrids. Then again, you might wind up with something you like better.
I’m almost caught up at irk. Yay! I’m working on the redo of the weirdly legged jeans into capris. Once they’re hemmed, I’m going to do some embroidery on them.
that’s 90 percent of anyone whos ever wrote instructions on how to assemble anything … I’ve always said that they should make them build it themselves before sending it with the product
Dad worked on tanks for the army…90 percent of the manuals they sent were made by someone who never worked on anything mechanical in their lives …
Actually if you use the geek or wish (I like geek better because of all the legally questionable electronics ) shopping app you can get watermelons in a rainbow of colors … strawberries also …
Had a guy come visit and gave me an estimate to renovate kitchen and bathrooms. It was…pricey, but still within the budget I had set, so I’ll get a couple more quotes and make a decision.
Coached my last soccer practice of the spring, season ends this weekend. Been a frustrating one, several weeks were rained out and I lost and gained players through the first couple of weeks, which made ‘bonding as a team’ a little harder, but the kids are alright.
It’s not so bad. at least I’m hourly vs. salary this time.
Nope, still solidly on page 1. (smirk)
In other news, this cold or whatever it is can leave now, TYVM. I’ve been sick for close to two weeks now. SO much fun giving the mute button a workout to cope with coughing fits or sneezing.
