The logical question would be, why not put me on “ignore” if you dislike bondage content in your discussions, and my stuff is so full of it? Why all the pitting? Why all the wailing and gnashing of teeth?

I don’t see what the PC outrage here is all about - why is it apparently so upsetting to so many of you guys that folks like askeptic, or inkleberry, or me, don’t necessarily want to run into constant references to BDSM? Is that a shocker? Are we really the only people getting creeped out by this? I doubt it.
I wasn’t asking an admin to stop him. I was pitting him. The way we do here. I’m not trying to stop him from doing anything. I’m just yelling at him for doing it. 
Well, it’s possible that inkleberry and I are the only two people on the SDMB who’ve simply read his countless references to slavegirls, rape scenes, and whipping and gotten a little more creeped out by it every time. Or maybe, you know, no one wanted to look like a jerk by hijacking a thread over what is, of course, a fairly small issue. If Evil Captor had only done this a few times, it wouldn’t be at issue. It’s the creepiness of the idea that he does it constantly that makes it seem like something other than his own harmless little habit.
So, I found a post by Evil Captor and clicked on his name and clicked on find all posts.
The guy has over 7000 posts you know. There are 25 results per page. Now the first two are responses to the two threads about him. The rest of the first page has these bondage posts.

The second page has one reference to bondage. It is to a thread that he has many posts in and only one has the bondage reference. (the movies better with nudity thread)
That’s fifty results.
The claim that he does this all the time is patently false. Yes you can search 7000 posts and find 10 quickly but that doesn’t mean that is all he posts about.
So in other words he seems to have spent the last couple of days not talking about bondage.
Can you explain the thought process behind.
1 “I’m offended by the fact that **Evil Captor ** posts about that”
2 “He did it again!”
3 I’m going to search out all the other ofensive posts and then read and then pit him for putting all that stuff in the archive for me to fine when I search for Evil+Captor+Bondage. I should be able to search those words without being offended.

EVERY opportunity? Exaggerate much? He interjects these little comments occasionally - that much is certain - but when you speculate as to the motivation, you go off into left field. I’ve been known to make the occasional sly, lewd comment from time to time, directed towards the fine womenfolk hereabouts. I don’t really know how often. However - I don’t do it because I get my jollies thinking about how offended they’ll be that I’ve hit on them - I do it because I’m betting it’ll make them chuckle.
And how many vanilla sex-themed threads have been started on the boards? How many of those started by the same small group of people? I won’t point fingers, but there are a few posters that do a lot of the OPs in that category. Are they using it for wank material? Heck if I know. If I think they might be, and it ‘annoys’ me, or disturbs me, I won’t go in.
Your objection seems to be : “He talks about this a lot… [whine]and it’s sexual![/whine]” You don’t seem to take issue with nonsexual one-trick ponies, as indicated by your response to my initial query in that regard. If the fact that his subject of choice is sexual changes its nature in your eyes, for the worse - then guess what? You are kind of a prude. Granted, the circumstantial evidence piles up higher for him than it does for you, but it’s all circumstantial. I’m willing to take him at his word, though.
And some people are less close-minded and want to occasionally (and it is only occasionally) discuss such things.
That’s not a solid analogy, and ignoring that for the moment, one can’t prevent someone from taking sexual pleasure from a conversation except by avoiding the conversation. There’s that big old ignore feature…

As a fairly new member to this board, I have to say I have noticed none of what you are talking about. As well you keep saying ‘always’ yet can only show us 13 instances of it. This for a person who has over 7300 posts. Hell even if for every link you showed us there was 10 more like them that would still only by about 2% of his posts. If there was 100 more like them that would still be less then 20% of his posts. Hardly what most people would construe as ‘always’. Nonetheless, entertaining pit and I congralute you on it.

If you didn’t naturally come across these posts, then I do question why you are pitting him or why you are bringing them up. If there was a non-sexual thread that he brought bondage into then bring that up. Then maybe other SDMB members will remember other times he did it and bring those up. It does not seem that you only came across this evidence of his annoying you by looking for it.
If you look for something to be offended by, don’t come crying to me when you find it.
Now how about talking about the fact that he does not talk bondage all the time, or even most of the time. Maybe the posts you remember most are the bondage ones but it is easy to see that he is not a one trick pony.

Sure it is. His completely gratuitous references and deceptively-entitled threads are attempts to sneak in a discussion of something when people would otherwise avoid it.

I would have agreed 5 years ago. However, lately, it seems that everyone I talk to where sex pops up has some interest in BDSM. It is something I’ve noticed for a few years. Indeed, when I mentioned this finding to my current gf, she admitted to some interest in being tied up (I may take her up on it. . .film @11)!
Personally, I am not offended by EvilCaptor. Nor am I offended by posters who are hard core conservative or liberal, or by the churchgoers or the atheists.

Deception? Perhaps unclear to the simple, but I don’t think thread titles like the TV Channel one above qualify as deceptive. I don’t really consider whether people want to avoid the discussion or not before inserting a random comic or TV reference. Some people have a lot of contempt for comics. Am I intentionally “forcing” the discussion on them? Or am I just following the path of my own mind, without worrying about what the Offenderati think?
As a previous poster noted, wouldn’t the “ignore” button work more effectively at keeping you from feeling “icky” than creating a whole new post? How many people do you need to endorse your view? Seems like Jr. High School days when one child would try to get all the kids to hate somebody.
