Off the board, eh, Corrado?
In Game 934, what I’m wondering is, who are France’s allies in the East? France doesn’t have the troops to attack the bases on the Boot right now; without allies, the thing to do was F Lyo-Tys and F Wes C A Spa-Naf, squeeze F Tunis off the map in S03, and then start the big push against Italy. So I’m thinking France is expecting to work together with Turkey, Austria, or both.
Poor England…defending the Isles with only two fleets ain’t easy.
And I’m looking forward to the Battle of Trieste as much as anyone. Where’s that beer vendor?
See, Italy wasn’t supposed to be building 2 this turn. Italy wasn’t supposed to be building any at all.
Geeze, Maegs, I IMd you last week and asked you if there was anyway we could work together. If that’s what you wanted, maybe we could have worked something out…
After the way we “worked” “together”, it’s probably best for him y’all didn’t:)
Last week you were poised to be wiped off the board, Dave. Your recovery and double build are pretty close to miraculous. Now that I have an army in Tus and a fleet in TYS, I’d be more than happy to talk turkey.
I meant the Spring turn, of course (dear God, I need to graduate).
Is that talk turkey or talk Turkey? I’ve been talking Turkey, m’self…
Yeah, John, we can pretty much see what you have been talking about.
Hey! There’ll be no Turkey-talking here of any kind, darn it! [sub]unless it involves me, of course[/sub]
You do know, don’t you that in about 18 years or so, both of your empires will be a complete shambles.
Of course, at this rate, mine will only take 2 or 3.
That’s British efficiency for you…
Sorry about that y’all. I sent my orders, and just assumed that they went through.
You sure? Italy isn’t gone just yet, and now it seems Turkey is trying to move in for the kill… And Germany and Russia aren’t in the ideal position to help liberate me either
The things I get accused of…REALLY!
That whole move on Albania thang…merely defensive, Excellency, I do assure you. If I had known you were moving there as well, perhaps we could have accomodated one another.
So, in the interest of better coordinating our movement, tell me, Archduke - what are your orders for the fleet?
Wouldn’t want any more of that clumsy bumping of heads, would we?
Are you sure that’s not bumping of threads? Cause that would hurt.
I’m back from Jacksonville. Woo!
And I’m short two sets of orders for Dip Cecil 934. I’ve sent the emails. You know who you are.
Oh, and pun?
Your emails bouncing again. I’d get that looked at.
CRAP. I sent the orders; that’s not the problem.
So far two people have complained about my email addy bouncing. And those are just the ones I’ve heard about.
I had gotten so accustomed to netscape email … it was so good to me. But my patience is not what it was, and it wasn’t when it was.
Luckily I have a yahoo account, so I can check that as well. And the limit on there is a full meg bigger (which is good for those of us who keep important stuff in email, as opposed to the logical thing, which would be to save it hardcopy).
I’m gonna give it a week more, tops. And if things don’t improve I’m switching. Grr, this is annoying.
Thanks for the heads up, JC:) Though at the rate I’m going in this game, I doubt you’ll be needing to email me much more to remind me to send in orders:(
And another season passes us by…
I’ve received orders from the miscreants and so…
Winter 1902 in Dip Cecil 934 has been adjudicated.
Boy, the situation in the Med just changed enormously.
Enormously.
Comments?
Well, it’s not like Italy’s and France’s builds were a big surprise at this point. Personally I find Germany’s build of an army in Berlin to be more interesting. I was expecting either a fleet in Kiel or an army in Munich.
Russia’s and Turkey’s builds seem non-committal. Russia seems to be favouring flexibility over putting additional pressure on England. And Turkey…well, I’m still not sure what Turkey’s up to. Which, of course, makes me want to know all the more.
