Diplomacy Game One: The thread of doom!

iampunha, what can I say? I like pasta, I like vodka, I don’t like Julie Andrews musicals…

Um:

  1. Captain von Trapp, if you’re into guys.
  2. Julie Andrews, if you’re into girls.
  3. Lisel if you’re into girls.
  4. Rolf, if you’re into guys.

Since he doesn’t like Julie Andrews musicals, he is obviously not into guys.

I could get into Liesl, but she’s only 16 (albeit going on 17). I’m just too old…

And Julie? I’m emotionally scarred from seeing her aged breasts in the abysmal “S.O.B”

(smilie removed)

I was actually quite impressed with her aged breasts. It’s not to often you get an actress who bares it all only at the end of her career.
Dewey, perhaps you would be more interested in Baroness Schraeder? She’s loaded, and I hear she was recently dumped, practically at the altar.

p.s. iampunha- Yes, we have no bananas.

Yeah, but that’s Sister Maria we’re talking about. It’s Mary Poppins for the love of God! Julie Andrews baring her breasts just seems so…wrong.

Next thing you know you’ll be giving me some cockamamie line about my parents actually having sex. My mother would never do that – that woman’s a saint!

Hmmmmm…maybe I could show her a few of my favorite things…

The Baroness has this crazy new drink.

Lemonade, that’s PINK!

That’s right. Pink lemonade.
“The horror, the horror.”

My first game and it looks like I’m already in trouble… :o

How many “favorite things” do you have??? I mean, I’ve heard rumors about you heathens, but really!

iampunha!

You’re late!

And you’re email keeps bouncing!

Don’t take any of his cheques.

“Winter 1901 Orders due: Monday, November 19, 2001 3PM Eastern US Time”

Otherwise I woulda sent 'em last night. And I don’t see how my netscape email could be bouncing . . . though I will admit I didn’t get my usual share of spam today.

Winter 1901 for Dip Cecil 934 is now adjudicated.

Boy is that board crowded.

Comments?

Oooooooh. . . Look at all the pretty ships out there.

Fall 1901 in Dip Adams 936 has been adjudicated.

Oh.

My.

God.

At least two players should be mightily pissed off this time.

Indeed - no room for a Franco-Prussian Alliance in this game!! The knives are razor-sharp!!

Austria looks dazed and reeling, Russia is expanding in all directions, Italy is settling in nicely, but will have to keep a careful grip on the Med. while England adds to German woes…

Looks like fun

Gp

German Ambassador expelled from France for chewing with his mouth open during a state dinner. The Ambassador is quoted as saying, “I’m not the Ambassador, nor am I German. I’m just a hungry guy in Lederhosen.” In entirely unrelated news, the Paris markets are inexplicably flooded with German beer this fall.

Well, it looks like my predictions for game two just went right out the window. Alas, poor Austria…what lies did Italy whisper in your ear, to keep your fleet out of port? Treachery I say, treachery most foul!

Game one is certainly becoming interesting as well. France and Turkey both seem to be smelling Italian blood in the Mediterranian. Russia is joining the war in the northern theatre, although that army in Warsaw could give either Austria or Germany pause. And England has built another army…does he dream of attacking the continent, or of French and German navies storming his beaches?

Well, Germany got Belgium! That is what he wanted! There was no discussion, no debate. So, he got it. I hope he’s happy. Wouldn’t it have been better to discuss these things? Oh wait, that would entail actually talking with me which seems to be sorely lacking from all players this game :frowning:
