(splutters)….why, that’s right!

40 cities, with Minneapolis being the most populous one I have not been to.

I’ve been to 25, and I was surprised it was that many.

I’ve been to 34, most of them for work-related trips. I’ve lived in two: San Jose (where I was born), and Chicago (where I’ve lived and worked for most of my life).

My pearls were clutched when I saw mmm’s post.

I’ve been to 17, and I’ve been to the airports in Atlanta, Houston, and Dallas/Fort Worth, but I didn’t count those. I’ve lived in Raleigh (where I went to college), and near but not technically in Charlotte (where I was born) and Sacramento (where I live now).

22/6 on the movie polls, solid all the way down to Anatomy of a Murder then skips Battleship Potemkin before picking up again.

I’m surprised Tampopo was so far down on the list. Itoman was one of my favorite directors and I was really sad/pissed off when he committed suicide over what some gossip rag reported. I own both of his movies that were big hits in the US, Tampopo and A Taxing Woman, both starring Nobuko Miyamoto, his wife.

28 and 7 in the two movie polls. I don’t see as many documentaries as I could.

39 cities visited

Some of them weren’t as populated when I was last there –

Holy crap do I need an SDMB vacation.

Closed it. Will re-open in the real polls thread.

I know I don’t have to, but it feels right.

mmm

I’ve been to 32 of the cities. I think I’ve spent a least one night in each of those, although that wasn’t a requirement of the poll.

Not according to this poll!

I drove almost the entire length of I-40 when I moved from North Carolina to California, from Raleigh all the way to the western end in Barstow, CA, but since I didn’t start at the very beginning in Wilmington I was forced to vote “no” in my own poll.

I’ve driven the entire length of I-43 (from Beloit to Green Bay, in Wisconsin), and the entire length of I-88 (the one in Illinois, not the completely separate I-88 in upstate New York), from the Chicago suburbs to the Quad Cities.

Shortly after moving to Nashville, I visited my parent’s beach house in Topsail, so drove all the way across North Carolina on I-40. That’s a long drive. Next time, I think I’ll fly.

I’ve driven the entire length of I-89. It’s not that long.

The only movie in the “zero” list I’ve seen is “Bolero”. I saw it hoping to see lots of female nudity.
