I can’t believe the automobile poll didn’t have Hot Rod Lincoln.
And Little Old Lady from Pasadena.
My biggest concern with Biden is his age. The chances of him having the health and vigor required for the job 5 years from now are lower than I’d like. But I’m still planning to vote for him unless somehow a really attractive alternative appears.
I’d love for there to be someone else but if Biden is on the ballot he’s getting my vote.
I’ve never been hit in the eye with any size pizza pie, but I would definitely be taking back my bite from an eel.
Crap. I actually meant to include that one, and then it somehow slipped my mind when I was trying to come up with the other entries.
I did completely forget about “The Little Old Lady From Pasadena”.
I thought about including an “I’d like to nominate a different song” option, but I plan on doing another poll featuring the winner from each category, and I have no idea how I would handle “other” in the final poll if that’s the winner in one of these categories.
You know, that is why Biden is falling behind ion the polls- Dems hoping for some young charismatic person to come and take over. But no one can agree on who, and polls show only Biden can beat trump, Good news- several other Dems can beat DeSantis, etc,
I voted for him with resignation, as the best of my options. That being said, he had greatly exceeded my expectations, and I’m pretty happy with him.
I still think he’s too old, and I’m anxious about his next term. I’m not worried that he’ll drop dead, because we have procedures that handle that. I’m worried he’ll lose vigor, both mental and physical. If he were ten years younger I’d be an enthusiastic supporter.
I skipped the voting question. It’s simply too early.
As for favorite ink pen colors. I like most of them, but I use black most frequently. Purple or pink for editing marks are my standard. But I see color as a function of what is going to happen to the document when I am done with it. If I’m the only one to see it, I don’t care very much about the color so long as it doesn’t fade.

Any poll on trucks that doesn’t include:
Six Days on the Road
Willin’
Wolf Creek Pass
Truck Drivin’ Man
Should be considered invalidated and rerun.
I am not a democrat and have a general dislike for any party or politician. I can’t see voting for any politician enthusiastically. Given the current options I don’t see voting for anyone else. If it’s Trump I will vote for Biden without hesitation but with little enthusiasm.
Biden’s been a competent and good President. I would not say I am an enthusiastic supporter, I mean I am not putting a sign up in my yard or a bumper sticker on my car, but I will vote for him without hesitation. He is likely able to beat anyone from the Republican field - and I will enthusiastically not be voting for any of them. What choice is there, really?
I like to use dark green and brown ink. So the pen question was easy for me.

Six Days on the Road
That’s what I was thinking of! The name wouldn’t pop into my head.
I like Halloween well enough; but these days it doesn’t really affect me, and I don’t really do anything much about it. Nobody trick-or-treats out in the country any longer, at least around here; they all go into town.

I like Halloween well enough;
For every holiday that comes to mind, my answer would be the same: “It can go away for all I care.”
I do like that it hasn’t grown completely out of proportion (i.e. Christmas). It’s a night or two of harmless fun and I guess the kids like it. There are few stupid songs that we have to endure (except Monster Mash) and it’s easy to ignore.

Around here (suburban Chicago), at least, Halloween is probably now second only to Christmas, as far as what people spend on it and do for it; IMO, the amount of effort people put into Halloween has grown dramatically over the past few decades. Every third house in my neighborhood has had their yard filled with Halloween decorations for the past few weeks. At my office, there’s going to be a big Halloween party on Tuesday, and a group of my colleagues has been working for weeks on coordinating their costumes for the party.
But, yeah, at least there’s not 24/7 Halloween music radio stations. Not yet, anyway.
I like the holiday of Halloween well enough. But I absolutely hate wearing a costume.

Ugh. Okay. I guess I have seen some lawn decorations for a few weeks. It’s still fairly rare around here and I’ve been able to ignore it. If people enjoy it, and I don’t have to be constantly exposed (i.e. Christmas) then I can allow it to exist. I don’t have the gene for “let’s put a lot of effort into something, it will be fun.”
I use blue ink.
My first husband worked for ATF and early on he checked liquor license applications to make sure they were correct. One of the things he ws asked to do was to make minor corrections that didn’t affect the outcome - you know, like if there’s a box in a form that doesn’t apply and you’ve already indicated that, you can’t still can’t leave the box blank, you have to write NA.
That kind of fix.
But what he filled in couldn’t look like someone else did it, so he had to match the ink. He had one black ink pen, and a cupful of pens with different colors of blue ink.
So if you want to make it hard for someone to change a document, write in blue ink. Or anything but black
