Do East Coast Canadian Dopers ever get togather?

Just wondering, are there more then 4 of us?

Upham

As a recently-nationalized Canadian citizen, I’m all for it.

(That makes five!)

Crazy, where you at?

In all honesty, Pennsylvania. But I’m up north so often seeing relatives (TO area) so often I’m sure I’d have time for a little Dopefest (especially since I’m getting a car soon).

Hahaha, dude, i said East Coast, it’d take you a day and a half to get over here from there. Be damn cool though…

There’s no way in hell i’m the only one on here, i know there’s at least one who was born around here someplace…

damn

Well, in the Montreal Dopefest thread, Angkins showed up, and she’s from New Brunswick… I’m sure there are some more of you out there.

Isn’t it funny that Americans* don’t realize the East Coast of Canada is so far east? FWIW, St. John’s is about 20 degrees of longitude east of Boston and 1.5 hours ahead.

  • I say this as an American who didn’t realize it till recently … I hear far too much about the ignorance/USA-centricity of Americans when I’m up at school.

Okay, I’m a stupid Americain. Now that we’ve established that fact, I would like to check out Newfoundland and Prince Edward Isle someday… Be a great chnace for a Dopefest.

My e-mail’s in my profile. Contact me if you guys find more than two people to get a Dopefest going on next summer. Peace out!

I’m not sure this Bluenoser could stand much more festivity these days. Then again the holidays will end eventually and my liver may recover given enough time…

Go Mooseheads.

Man, i cant believe there’s only 3 of us, this is messed…

Born and raised in Charlottetown, PEI and currently living in Ottawa as, strangely enough, there are no jobs in PEI. My brother is attending Dalhousie University in Halifax… he isn’t a doper though so I don’t think he counts…

No jobs in PEI?! you LIE!

I was a bingo caller, spoon player, DJ, MC, baloon giver and bartender in a restaurant in Cavendish! Viddles and Vittles, ever hear of it

I’m pretty sure you know people from there that i do. I’ve no real reason for this but everyone there really DOES know everyone else
Upham

Let me rephrase “there are no jobs in PEI” to “there are no jobs for a fresh outta Holland College with a Network Administrators certificate type people”… whew… better off saying that there are no GOOD jobs
I think I have heard of “Viddles and Vittles”, but like all locals we know that Cavendish is a tourist-trap and is to be avoided at all costs. But it’s true about the Island knowing people. Just a little while ago I met a fellow in a store who asked me if I was my brother (we look alike)… turns out he went to high school with my brother and lived a block from me in Ottawa. Hmm… Do you know David or Adele Gilles? Adele was the manager of the Sports Page pub in Charlottetown and probably knows more people in Charlottetown than anyone I can think off.

Do the names Gordon Lea, Paul Miles, Jason Smits, Janet Cameron or Dave Coffin mean anything to you?

Angkins and I are in Moncton New Brunswick - count us is for any summer dopefests!!

Upham - where in NB are you??

Hahaha, kellibelli i’m in Moncton too! Crazy stuff eh??

where in M’ton?

Maybe there is a Dopefest coming after all…

be it a rather small one, but who the hell cares?

West end(salisbury road to be exact)… where abouts are you??

I think I read you are about 19 or so… what high school did you do to?

MHS here - class of '87!

We had another Moncton Doper once: Glenoled… but he has dissappeared.:frowning:

So you are in Moncton…dammit! why cant you be 35, single, employed, and into big women???

I am ready!!!

Ahoy to both of ya! it’s good to see the Choclate River gettin some representation on here!

I’m from past Riverview going towards the Rocks. Yes, i am 19, i went to RHS for 2 years but left to go to RCSN in Rothesay.

And who’s Angkins? Are we the only 3 Moncton Dopers then? Crazy crazy crazy…

Upham

One of my earliest memories is of Rothesay (lived there briefly). One of the Crosby kids told me to stick my hand in a hole and catch a mouse. Some hole. It was a wasp nest.

I’m not a maritimer though – just my mom’s side of the family – Clark mostly out of St. Stephen and Oak Bay.
