I’ve been following this thread for a couple of days now and am still amazed that Surreal could make that kind of blanket statement about spanking. Have you (Surreal) been spanked by someone who got aroused from it? Have you been the aroused spanker?
I have a toddler who I have spanked on occasion. Does that make me a pedophile/child molestor? I certainly did not derive any pleasure (sexual or otherwise) from it.
I cannot fathom where the op came from or what Surreal is actually trying to accomplish in this thread. He/she has stated that the intent was not debate, he doesn’t want to change anyone’s mind and I would assume that also means his own and he does not want to be bothered with something as mundane as a cite for anything that he deems obvious.
As pointed out previously sometimes the lesson of a smack on the butt is better than the jolt of 120 volts of house current. I see spanking as sometimes necessary to avoid deeper bodily injury. A slap on the hand as she reaches for a boiling pot on the stove is better than 3rd degree burns and a trip to the ER. None of those things are sexually motivated.
Also, I have never spanked her bare bottom, nor have I laid her over my lap. One (therefore the swats are not .8 seconds apart) swat to the bum is all she gets. I then have her full attention and we redirect her to a more suitable activity.
As many have also pointed out context is very necessary in arousal. Kissing my daughter goodnight is very different than kissing my husband goodnight. Goodness if we all got aroused when grandma kissed our cheeks… perish the thought!
