Do we need to do Spring Cleaning in the MMP?

os are you going to change your sn to fairychatgrandmom anytime soon ?

were the minnie mouse ears an intentional look ?

Daughter and SIL had both worked at Disney in Orlando, so it’s a big part of their lives. But no name change planned.

I am SO EXCITED for your family, FCM! YAAAAY! Roxie will make a wonderful big sister! You’ll have an extra reason to be thankful next Thanksgiving.

I’m still feeling crummy, but not quite as crummy, so that’s a good sign. I thought I’d suddenly feel fine–ever the optimist. I don’t like lying around all day, but I’m to weak to get anything done. It feels like a wasted day, but heck, my body is passing Covid Resistance 101, so not a total waste, eh?

Naturally, they just got rid of all their baby clothes a few months back. There’s a thrift store near here that has a big bin full of newborn clothes for 75¢ each piece. I’ll head over there frequently for clothes to get the kid thru the first year. Daughter’s MIL, on the other hand, will buy waaaaaaayyy to much new stuff. She’s just a tad indulgent.

They should find out the baby’s sex in about 8 weeks - personally, I’m hoping for another girl. It’ll make things easier on them - they have a 2 BR house, and 2 girls can share a room. If they have a boy, they’ll have to do something in a few years - either move or add on. So we shall see.

i dont think emilyg’s doing too well she just started this thread …

I’m not a drinker, but am wondering about things like OTC meds, soaking in a bubble bath, and such. Just got back from getting my first dose of Moderna, and feel about like I did when I left, at least so far. Nice pharmacy tech was all over booking my second appointment while she was checking me in. Nice pharmacist decided it would be best to stab my right arm, even though I’m right-handed, since I tend to sleep on my left side.

The traffic stupid was horrible. Damn near got in a head-on caused by some impatient moron trying to enter my lane to make a totally illegal pass. Also nearly sideswiped the poor guy next to me ducking the idiot.

Ice cream and sloth are the main agenda for the rest of today. Laundry can wait until tomorrow.

Congrats Mooooooooom! Roxie will make an excellent big sister.

Got the Saturday chores done, did a bit of work on a project and took Nelson to the dog park, where he got to play with his buds Jack, Watson, Jersey and Bentley. Ribs for supper.

Congrats, FCM; twice the hassle for only one family! I’m sure the new addition will be just as cute as Roxy.

hippie, :open_mouth: :hushed: :astonished: Glad you weren’t there. Nettie may be right.

cookie, glad you stopped smoking, it’s a habit I never took up, my mom smoked right up to her passing, I decided very early the smell and the mess was not for me.

Made the trip to Arab, Alabama, the boys lost 2-5. The girls are 5-0 for the season and the boys are 0-5, just a matter of how they divided the teams up, I’m coaching them the same. Got home at 7:30pm with Jack’s providing dinner and surprisingly feeling pretty good and wide awake. However, I imagine once I lay down tonight, it won’t take long to get to sleep.

Catch all y’all tomorrow.

Hey, you stole my plan. I’ma gonna sloth and ice cream anyway.

(passing the Magic Shell)

Howdy Y’all! I managed not to sloth all day, just most of it. I worked on the cee-mint pond for a little while bein’ as the sun decided to pay a visit and ‘twas nice out this afternoon. I hope to have it in shape by the first of May. I’m sure some folks in these parts are makin’ use of their cee-mint ponds now, but we never do until after May first. I consider not waitin’ until May to be the cee-mint pond equivalent of wearin’ white shoes before Memorial Day. It’s just not done!

MOOOOOOM yay on the impendin’ new grandlet!

Again, yay for all the jabs gettin’ done! The more the merrier I say!

I don’t think I said anything on the book of faces, but congrats on the upcoming Fairy Chatlet!

Our little town in central orygun does a couple of cleanup days a year, and today was one of them. The daughter and SIL come over with their truck last night Today they made two trips down to the park with our surplus furnitures and grabbage. We just had a celibratory picnic out on our deck with salmon burgers, hamburgers, and a salad.

Right now it’s 75 F out there and the sun is going down. a near perfect day.

Life is good.

We’re friends for life

Canes won, I got a signed score sheet form the PA announcer, and I have cold beer and a warm pup. Life is good.

You’re still pretty! And you’re a mammal, hair is good. feathers would be weirdbut posibly kinky

I’m better at impurifying myself.

: tacklehug : Welcome back!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 62 Amurrkin out and cloudy with a predicted high of 77 and cloudy for the day. The big plan of the day is deheathenization and the makin’ and consumption of a late N.O,L./early sup of poke tenderloin cooked on the grill, baby lima beans, smashed N.O.T., squish casserole, and rolls. We shall squeeze in nappage, of course. Other than that, who knows what might happen.

Now I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, purtification for deheathenization must commence as we shall attend the nine o’clock service.

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Afternoon, mumpers! Weather app says “It’s clear outside. Clear and fucking stupid”, and promises me 12C/54F all day, mostly sunny. That looks about right, I’m not sure of my plans for the day but I might be going out or I might not.

Yesterday was busy, walked to and from town, did essential shopping and picked up lunch from the nice Chinese place then sat in the churchyard to eat it. It was very pleasant outside, but all our non-essential stores are open again which meant town was much busier than previously. It’s a little disconcerting to see so many folks around now, especially as the mask-wearing is pretty hit and miss, and the people inside the shopping centre have no idea how to follow the directional markers on the floor. Being outside was much better!

I think I’ll do an exercise session later, and I’m doing a roast pork dinner tonight. Yesterday 'im indoors made pulled pork and we had tacos which were very good. We still have a large pork joint in the fridge so I’m roasting that tonight and we will use the leftovers for lunches over the next couple of days. Tomorrow I am getting my hair cut in the afternoon so I can combine that with a trip to the pet store as I need some more renal food for Shadow. I should go to the gym again too, I’ll see how the time goes.

Moooom congrats on the new addition to the FairyEmpire, I hope it’s all smooth sailing for everyone!

hippie you were lucky to miss all the “excitement” there, I really don’t know what happens in people’s heads to make them think using a gun is any kind of solution to anything.

What to do next? Cats are fed, litter trays have been scooped and refilled, I think it’s time for a cuppa and then I shall contemplate lunch.

Thanks - that’s a back-of-the-mind niggling thing. My daughter will be 36 in Sept - not ancient, but still - I had to have all my baby-making parts removed at 35 because things started going bad with them. I know she’s not me, but I’m still allowed to worry. And there’s also the concern about me, in my late 60s, wrangling a pair of young 'uns. Just one wears me out! On the other hand, with luck, Roxy can go to pre-school in the fall. We shall see how it plays out.

Today, they’re coming over to help us move the office. There’s a big desk that needs to be disassembled and reassembled, two CPUs with 3 screens and a KVM, plus the UPS, a printer, 2 large book cases, and lots and lots of stuff. As long as they can help us move the furniture and the computers, I can deal with the rest myself. We’ll order Chinese or deli fried chicken to feed them/us. Bottom line - busy day. And once all the stuff is set up in the new office, FCD will be able to put things away to his satisfaction. He can’t do any heavy work, but he can sort and organize. I just hope the wifi works well with his machines.

I also hope to find out what SIL’s work schedule is for the week so I can plan mine. After May 1, he should be back on a regular schedule because the base is taking a step closer to being fully open. I’m hoping it’s like before when he had 2 days off during the week because he worked weekends - that will give me 2 days to get stuff done without the RoxStar.

The sun is shining - huzzah! Let’s all have a good day! Happy Sunday!!

Good morning, everyone. Today I’ll continue to be greatly daring and go to a farmers’ market. It’ll be the first time in over a year. I need some veg and not much else, so it sounds like a fun excursion for the day.

The weather forecast for today is for clear skies and 85 degrees. 85! It’s mid-April, and it’s usually chilly and drizzly at this time of year. I’m not a fan of hot weather so I’m unhappy about that. I’ll have to dig out a tank top and shorts for my farmers’ market adventure.

Have a good Sunday, all.

Brownie - where are you that the farmers have a market? The Amish around here have plowed, and maybe planted, but it’ll be at least a month before anything shows up for sale, I think. Strawberries first - and I can’t wait!!

OK, time to shower and dress. Daughter et. al. could be here within an hour. I need to be ready…

There are days when Muppet curtains would be completely appropriate to my office. The one at work, not in my home. But our team’s theme song is Mahna mahna.

You’re very busy building up your immunity and gaining your freedom. That’s hard work! Hope it’s going better.

aka 40 weeks after Valentine’s day. My grandparents liked to celebrate Valentine’s day, so my mom’s birthday and her siblings all have birthdays within 2 calendar weeks. Something to anticipate!

Made the decision to take a break from my German class. No motivation to do the homework, and I spend the class looking at the clock. That’s not fair to the other students. And I haven’t submitted the invoice to work yet, so it’s all on me for the lost money. Just have to tell the teacher.

We got the building permit for glassing in the patio, so I had to pay that and inform the contractor. I bought rhubarb, so I’m going to cook it with some sugar and citrus. Then I’ll either eat it straight, put it over yogurt, or freeze it. Hubby doesn’t like rhubarb, so it’s all for me.

Went for a short walk, which turned into a longer walk. Not feeling majorly motivated, but hubby’s putting himself down for a nap, so no pressure from him to do something productive.
