Mine does. I get quieter IRL, and noisier on the internet. In latter years I was much better at articulating myself under heavy influence.
Since I don’t want to ever drink again I won’t be drunk posting again.
So I went and poured a drink right now, just because… 
I was plagued by excuses to drink. Almost anything could be an excuse to drink for me.

In the past, I occasionally posted when slightly tipsy, but after a few particularly lame, indignant, repetitious, and/or error-filled posts I decided that alcohol and the SDMB should not be combined. Or rather, it is okay to READ the SDMB with a glass of libation in hand, but I don’t let myself WRITE.
Is there really a distinction between “tipsy” and “drunk”? To me they are the same, it is merely a matter of degree.
And to all of you posters upthread who have sworn off alcohol and stayed sober, I offer heartfelt congratulations and admiration for winning a tough battle.
This, except for going online and uploading photos. I really only drink when I’m out doing something social with other people.
Well, I’d first have to be drunk, tipsy, or otherwise inebriated. The odds of that happening are pretty slim, and it’s even slimmer that I’d be near a computer to post from at the time.
One of my friends, while not a doper, used to IM me while drunk fairly often. I think me posting his drunken ramblings to LJ the next morning discouraged him though, as he hasn’t done it in a while.
Over half my posts, my BIL would have said I was “fried outta my mind”. Herbally speaking, that is.
I’m way way way too emotional on this board as it is (I constantly feel I am not well liked because of it actually) and because of that I wouldn’t want alcohol, which makes me even more emotional, to hamper that any more
Back in 2001, when I was still went by the name of “slythe”, I decided(after half a bottle of Tullamore Dew) to stage The Great “Re-Name The Moderator” Contest. After a while, it got down to two names, which resulted in this thread.

Never done anything in my life, inclusive of things like breathing and circulating blood through my system, while drunk, tipsy, or intoxicated.
I should suggest this to the three or four people I do this to, to see if it will discourage me.
I did it once. Ended up apologizing to damn near everybody posting on the boards that night. Thankfully, tomndebb gently shepherded me into the BBQ Pit where I worked off the bourbon in a few minutes. Now, when I start slurping Jack Daniels, I join The Fray over at Slate. Good stuff, that!
Rarely. I don’t make much sense when I’m sober. I’m incomprehensible when lit.
Certainly! Sometimes I like to web surf and read message boards, including this one, when I’m drunk or high; if I’m moved to post under such circumstances I see no reason to resist the urge. Heck, depending on how loaded I am, the subject matter, and what else is happening, it even improves my creativity and eloquence sometimes – I get more daring and original in my poetic turns-of-phrase, and much freer to play with words and sounds and sense.
And since I type like shit regardless of whether I’m high, dry, or somber, it doesn’t make me look any stupider than usual if I post while toasted.
I really can’t imagine what this place would have been like if you’d ended up as Chicken of Bristol. Whatever, you’re a brave person, putting your life in the hands of Dopers.
Mostly just lightly toasted, three beers or so. I won’t admit to the threads that I have participated in that I was completely drunk off my ass.
