Do you like Fig Newtons?

I just realized I haven’t heard much about Fig Newtons lately, and then immediately followed it with the thought “Well, that’s probably because nobody really likes them”.

Personally, I can’t stand them. What about you?

They satisfy my urge to disassemble my food before I eat it, similarly to Oreos and Kandy Korn.

According to Calvin, this certifies me as a Grade A Nimrod.

Not only do I like Fig Newtons but I like that they still sell the single serving box.

Yes, but holy shit, have they got to be expensive! The knock-offs are horrible, so it’s Fig Newtons or nothing. At the price they want, it’s nothing, I’m afraid.

Yes, I think they’re okay. Haven’t had one in years. They’re good.

I’m not a huge fan, but I felt a certain local affinity for them where I used to live.

No way! Do you bite the edges of the Fig Newtons off first? Do you eat the Kandy Korn by color???

Me too:D

I love them. They are filling in a way most sweet snacks aren’t.

They are excellent. Make for good iron rations.

There is a knock-off brand called “Daddy Ray’s”, that are pretty good once you get past the really horrible picture of Amish-looking Daddy Ray.

They come in blueberry also, which absolutely rock, and strawberry, which are abominations.

Like them a lot. Feel more substantial than a cookie

They’re okay. I appreciate them more as an adult than I did as a child.

No. They’re gross. Figs are good only when they are fresh from the tree. Apple newtons are are prety good with a cup of strong, black coffee though.

I buy the knockoff apple newtons and give them to the horses as treats. THey also get iced oatmeal cookies. I like the name brand fig newtons for myself.

StG

Don’t like the cookies, did like the Fig Newton ad with the dancing fig newton. “Here’s the tricky part…”

I like them. Also, as with Peeps and Circus Peanuts, they are better stale.

I’ve liked them ever since I was a kid.

Yes, but I prefer the blueberry, triple fruit, and strawberry ones instead.

I love 'em, but agree with the poster about the price. I have to save up for a few weeks just to buy one pack. From a vending machine. But still, they’re damned good.

Love them although I can’t say I’ve had any in the last decade. I don’t have much of a sweet tooth and rarely buy dessert food to have around the house though.
