Do you sleep better alone, or with company?

I’m way more comfortable with another person there. I have a small bed, but it’s the prefect size for cuddling up on. I’ve never had any complaints

I have chronic insomnia, which is psychological for me. It disappears if I’m in bed with someone. I can’t sleep alone. Which is why I sleep with the TV on.

I find I sleep much more soundly with ** Drachillix **, in his bed or in mine. I have a lot more trouble falling asleep and staying asleep when we’re not together. I sleep with a light on and music going if he’s not with me, with the bedroom door locked. But if he’s with me, he can get up in the night and I don’t wake up.

sleep better when not in contact. If it is a big bed (full or larger) it doesn’t bother me if we can roll to our respective sides. Haven’t really slept with anyone else much, anyway.

I sleep more deeply when I sleep alone, but with company, I fall asleep and wake up faster. (I’ve been an insomniac since age 10, and I’m not the quickest waker, either, so that’s a big deal to me.) So I suppose it depends on how you define sleeping “better”.

All I can say for sure is that I look forward to bed much, much more when someone else (read: a SO) is waiting there for me.

I sleep best when there are kitties present, preferably cuddled up in their favorite spots and purring. What a soothing sound.

I adore having a bed to myself, or at least the choice of sleeping alone if I need to. When I was married, my husband and I had separate rooms of our own, even though we usually slept in a bed together; when one person was sick, throwing up, coughing, etc. we’d sleep apart so we could both get some rest. (When I’m feeling nauseated, the slightest movement can make me throw up. Sleeping alone is a necessity.)

Now that I’m single again after a long stretch of sharing the bed with various folks, I find that I like leaving books open on the bed when I’m reading them, tossing my clothes for the next day on top of the covers, and doing things I just couldn’t do if someone else slept with me. Sleeping by myself is great, too. I have all the pillows, all the blankets, and only have to fight the cats for room on the bed.

I also sleep diagonally on the bed, so perhaps that’s why I don’t like sharing it with someone.

I’m a pack animal. I love to have my cats with me at bedtime–and now that I’ve moved away, I settle for a bunch of stuffed animals. (Mostly foxes. Foxes are -kyoot-!)

The same theory works with people. I like to have other people around me…it’s just comforting to not be alone.

I slept much better when it’s just me in the bed. Although I do have a nice queen sized bed to share…
